Question Exercise equipment - Do you use it?

I have just bought a V-Fit 2 in 1 Combi Cycle/Cross Trainer from eBay. I LOVE using exercise equipment and the cross trainer (elliptical) and the exercise bike were always my favourite 2 pieces of equipment at the gym. I can't afford gym membership atm and I don't like working out without using any equipment so I bought this from eBay. It's definitely the best thing I've bought and I love using it. The best thing about it is it's not just a cross trainer or just an exercise bike, it's BOTH Basically you can change back and forth from each one whilst working out and there is no need to stop as all you need to do is sit down on the seat and stop using the handles back and forth when you want to change to the bike. Then if you want to use the cross trainer again all you do is stand up off the seat and grab the handles and away you go. It's sooooooo cool, and boy does it give you a work-out

Here it is - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT It was actually £95.00 but I had the chance to make an offer so I got it for £75.00 *gotta love a bargain*

So after that great big ramble lol, do any of you use exercise equipment at home (if so what?), or do you train without equipment? Or maybe you use the gym?

I just have a simple little bar thing. It came with J brackets to hook over a doorframe for pull ups & one or two other exercises, and on the floor it can be for tricep dips & elevated pushups. Other than that, I do crunches, stretches, lift heavy things whenever I can and walk all over the place.

I own my very own Precor eliptical, gym style. It was expensive but well worth the price for being able to have my fav machine right in my home to use any time I want. I've burned thousands and thousands of calories on it.

    I used to have a gym membership..just expired (finally...because I haven't been going for...more than 50% of the time so I lost a lot of money...darn contracts..that'll teach me)...

Anyway, the reason I didn't go is because it's complicated to get there, and I didn't foresee all the other complications...

So I just got myself lots of different weights (mostly dumbbells for arm workouts), and I also got some of these attachable sand weights that you can put on your ankles or wrists...they're really awesome...

Other than that, I use my table, my bed, and other random things...I improvise and it definitely saves me a lot of money!! Dumbbells are definitely a very good investment!

I've been looking for a jumprope for a while now, because I hate cardio...I have tried taebo, can't always bike (I live in Canada ), I HATE running, pilates not good enough...so I want to try jumprope (I do jumping jacks, but it's not as good as a jumprope)...By the way, anyone know a good place to get a good jumprope? I have tried our athletics store, and even bought one that was a good quality (it was a speed one I think), but as I got home and opened it, it was used, and even if the middle of it was going to scratched anyway after a while, I find that spending money for bad quality is not worth it, so I returned it...

So yeah, I spend a lot of my time looking at workout sites like http://www.shapefit.com/ and try to improvise...

I also think that equipment is very bulky if you live in a small apartment like me...no place to put it :S
