Default I never thought I'd get excited about fruits...

But I just made a fruit salad (yes, it's midnight where I am... I went to bed at half 10 because I was knackered but my brain wouldn't switch off so I thought I should get up for a little and do some stuff that I've been putting off) and wow... I never really considered fruit to be something that can make you wiggle with delight, but it is beautiful!

One whole honeydew melon, a punnet of (Egyptian, rather sad looking) strawberries that I thought would be too sour for anything, two and a half gala apples and five kiwis...

Terrible crappy blackberry picture (please, imagine this with 500% more colour and oomph!)

Oh my days. I'm in heaven. As a rule I'd rather eat veg than fruit but on a whim I bought the melon and kiwis and I like to keep apples around on the off chance I might decide to snack on one... the strawberries I got today. The melon and strawberries are so so sweet, almost too sweet! The kiwi has a wonderful sharpness and contrasts in colour and taste with the strawberries so well. I had a little bowl just now to make sure everything was good in it and I now can't wait til the morning when I can get up and have a bit alongside my oatmeal for breakfast!

It'll last me a good week or so as well I reckon, it made a massive tub!
