    Default P90X - wow

So I've started P90X and I am in so much pain. I've been using it for 3 weeks now and haven't lost any weight but my pants fit better.

The only problem is protecting my bad knees but so far so good. The extreme workouts also help me deal with stress and anxiety and I get nauseous if I eat less-healthy food.

It's like DIY bootcamp. But this is only for overweight folks. I don't want anyone with anorexia or bulimia trying this. I'm purely talking just for those who overeat and might be interested.

I live in a studio apt and don't have room for a chin up bar so I use resistance bands with a door stop strap. Then you lean towards the bands and you can do the same motion as a pull-up.

Yes I saw an infomercial for P90X lol. I never tried because I don't have a chinup bar or resistance bands I've done Insanity tho. It's also by Beachbody. The only difference is that Insanity is only 60 days, and yuu don't need equipment.

I don't think P90X (or Insanity) are only for overweight people. I think it will help people who are at a healthy BMI too, if they want to tone their muscles or something. But I agree with Jacklinger. People with anorexia or bulimia should NOT be trying this. For people who are overeating, I suggest following their mealplans

One more thing: Know your own limits. Once I tore both my calf muscles, and couldn't walk properly for almost a week -.- Don't end up like that.

I have strained the tendons in my left instep and took yesterday and today off from my P90X routine. I hate missing days but the pain is just too much. I cant wait to resume though. I can already tell the difference in my arms and thighs. I have actual muscle now and the veins are starting to pop out of my arms. I can see my collar bones in the mirror too but they don't stand out much yet.

I've tried it only once before, kicks your ASS. Doing it once more since I'm verging up on 200lbs. Wish me luck

I've got one of those Iron Gym pull up bars. The good thing about them is that you can easily just take'em off the door frame once you're done.

I have done P90X a few times, both during my anorexia and my recovery...and I hated it. It was so boring!

I've seen the before and after pictures for it and its just incredible. I feel like since I'm actually going into bootcamp I should probably do it. I need to train for it :P

The thing about P90x is that you're already supposed to be in decent athletic shape before you start. You're not supposed to be begin unless you can do a certain number of various exercises such at pull ups and push ups. If you're not in that sort of shape before you begin, your body is going to be working so hard that the chance of injury skyrockets as does the amount of water you retain.
