Default have you actually lost weight with bulimia?

i always hear that bulimics don't loose weight and if anything they gain it, but i was curious if this is true or not?

also i'm more specifically referring to those who have binges before they purge.. not just people who eat healthy food and then purge all that

Yes it's more of a gain thing than a losing. Whenever i purge after maintaining an OK diet.. i think about how i'm going to accept those piled on pounds.

It's been mostly weight gain for me.

Various studies support the hypothesis that most of the weight gain is due to not being able to purge everything (even though it may feel like you have) and eventually metabolising those nutrients. Since a lot of bulimics of the "binging" type can ingest thousands of more calories than their expenditures during the day, the result is often moderate or considerable weight gain...

My weight constantly fluxuates by 10kg or more. When I lose it, I gain it back just as fast.
The time I spend half-happy with my weight is not worth the time I spend feeling bloated and dissapointed in myself.

I lost weight at first, but I was purging my regular meals and binges. Then I started purging only binges and they had gotten much bigger. After that I started to gain.

LOL, I gained fucking 15 kg, so bulimia made me officially overweight. Not even going to try and calculate my BMI, I am pretty sure I can't handle a mental breakdown right now.

So... No, I didn't lose weight from Bulimia.

I lost 15 kgs due to my acquaintance with bulimia. I binged three times a day and starved myself in between.

I've lost, actually...a lot more than when I staved myself. I don't eat anything in between, what I binge, I purge.

Well, I'm pretty diligent on purging everything with water rinsing like most bulimics. I don't think weight gain happens because we don't get it all up, because believe me I do. The only times I ever gained weight with it is when I'd snack on stuff (bulimia ups your cravings I find, but nowadays I just ignore them) had one or two unsuccessful purges, and when I was eating something other than my huge binges. I usually maintain but lost enough weight to make myself severely underweight. But then again I'm anorexic with bulimic tendencies... that is what I was diagnosed despite having all bulimic behaviours... so stupid :|
