Thread: I only eat junk food.(TW?)
-
I do this occassionally too, but I don't necessarily prefer junk food. I love healthy food and would rather eat that. When I subsist on junk, its usually because I was in a hurry from one place or another and hubby was hungry, or I wait too long in the day to eat and all of a sudden its 10 pm, hubby is hungry, and I am cranky that I have to make food. Its lack of prior planning on my part. I am currently on a health kick and trying to have vegetables and lean protien each day, but last night I had a shitload of homework and so I had a hotpocket. I'm pretty much the same. Sometimes it embarrasses me -- like for lunch I have nachos. Albeit it's a 275 calorie meal, there's no fruits or veggies in there at all. And when I have to eliminate calories, I always chuck the fruits and veggies even though logically they have less caloric value than other foods. But to me, they just aren't filling, and I am more likely to binge if I ate fruits/veggies all day so instead I go for unhealthy stuff. I'd say right now I only eat one serving of vegetables and two servings of fruit per day. I guess that's better than nothing.

YES. This used to be me.. on a massive scale. I would live off huge bags of pic'n'mix every day for about 2 years. And most days I'd have alcohol too. Occasional 'healthy' stuff for meals out with friends and stuff but it was rare. I cant believe I'm still alive. Now I've forced myself to snack on things like celery and raisins so even though I dont have any form of balanced diet, its better than it used to be.

I do this too.
I love fruit and veg and healthy food in general, but when I'm less focused all I go for is junk or sweet foods. If I'm gonna go over my cal goal, I could do that with anything, but for some reason it's always with the junk. Almost to the point where I'm tired of it, but I'll still eat, like, 3 big cookies and a pastry anyways.
