advice
so, i'll give y'all the scoop.
I have an amazing friendship with a guy in my grade. He came out and told me about his anorexia. I am almost positive he knows about me. But, that doesn't matter.
I am in the most awkward situation. I now understand how all of our families must feel. i am so fearful for him because of how sickly he is. His parents don't care about him at all, and therefore will not receive help for his disorder. But, on top of his anorexia he pushes his body to the limit. He is a runner and runs marathons. this wouldn't be a problem but with his current weight it isn't safe at all. I know he has passed out countless times while running. I am afraid that he will pass out hit his head and get run over by a truck. I know his mindset. the same one i have. He doesn't want my help. He won't stop running and won't eat either. I don't know how to help without him pushing me away. I feel so god damn helpless. I know no one will reply to this but i don't care. any advice would be so greatly appreciated.
thanks xxxoo, L

All you can do is speak to him, say you're scared as you kinda want him to stick around for a while longer. Say you'll support him but he needs to get help. If, like you said, doesn't want any help and won't get any help...not much else you can do.

I am a distance runner and I find what's helping me focus is the fact that my running isn't going to improve if I don't make changes. Perhaps that's something that you can bring to his attention. Im not sure how important running is to him so it may not have any effect but it's worth a try.
