Weight gain TW
How the hell do you deal with weight gain, I thought I was ok with it, just accepted it was part of recovery, for which it is.
BUT
I have gained 4lbs in 2 days and just can't take it anymore, my head is screaming at me that it's too much, my whole body is looking fat and disgusting, even my little toe looks fat !!
How the hell I am supposed to carry on with my eating plan when I'm freaking out big time !!! And all I want to do is cut out food and get the numbers to go down again !!Started Recovery 12th August 2011

Firstly... BREATH!!! I can hear your panic from over here.
It IS part of recovery... which you want & need...
however, I find it a little unlikely that you'll have gained 4 ACTUAL lbs in the last 2 days...
Maybe you could think about NOT weighing yourself? Its so unhelpful when you're doing good & you're doing your 'damndest' to fight this!!! Or limiting the times you do weigh yourself?
Easier said than done but PLEASE don't let a number on the scale take over & remember why you want this!

Weigh less! 2 days is too much. Once a week, first thing in the morning after a morning pee.
What the number says isn't important, it's just a guide to check if you're in the healthy range or not.

Don't weigh yourself as often. When you choose to weigh yourself, as Koh said, make sure it's at the same time.
Also realise that your body fluctuates 2kgs in weight depending on the day so it's probably just normal fluctuation."You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection"

^^Agree! I sometimes fluctuate 2 lbs in a day, but over the next day or two am back down. Fluid makes a huge difference in the number. It weighs a lot. But our body is constantly moving around fluid. So don't fret with such a change in two days. Although I do understand your fear. I started weighing myself a little less so that I don't drive myself so crazy. It really does help keeping my sanity! Hang in there.

Weigh less often defs. Its scary to not know but you just gotta take a deep breath and know that whatever happens to the numbers they do not define who you are <3

That's most likely not even real weight, mostly fluids I guess, anyways, it's really alright if you feel like bloated and all because the weight will redistribute so that's not going to be your final shape, trust me, it just takes a while because your body is not used to gaining.

This may sound dumb, but I had to rely heavily (no pun intended) on spirituality to deal with the weight gain. I don't know if you believe in a God or not, but when gaining weight, I had to "have faith" that whatever weigh my body was at was the weight my Higher Power wanted me to be at for some reason. Or at least have faith that that's where I was meant to be, whether God had anything to do with it or not.
But I had to just keep telling myself, at my highest (healthy) weight, that that was where my body was meant to be, regardless of where I WANTED to be. My needs (being healthy) were more important than my wants (being underweight). I didn't like the body I was in, but having faith it was meant to be helped a little. It was a humbling experience, because for once in my life I had to realize the world didn't revolve around me and my weight. I had to focus on other things for a change and let my body do its own thing.
