Bad scale. (Rant)
So I used the scales at the gym a few times, and apparently I'm 4-5 pounds heavier than my scale at home... I disregarded this because I wasn't sure whether to trust it. Dumb.
Now I fixed my other scale at home, the expensive one, and... yes, 4-5 pounds heavier.
So depressing. I feel like I was cheating or deluding myself into thinking I was thinner than I really am. I mean I did think I looked fatter than my weight... but I thought it was just my disorder. Nope. It's real.
I feel so disgusting and horrible about this. Am I stupid? I mean it's only 4 to 5 pounds, right?5'6

I personally find the scales at the gym that I frequent to be a few pounds higher. I go by my electric scale at home and refuse to go on another. Did you weigh yourself at the gym with clothes on? You should weigh yourself first thing in the morning after morning pee, at least that is what I was told and stick to one scale only. Every scale will vary due to water retention and many other reasons. Try not to beat yourself up. I know it's easy to feel disgusted with oneself, but I truly think that the scales at the gym are always a few pounds higher.
And I take back all the things I said
to make you feel like that
And I just wish that I didn't feel
like there was something I missed
And I take back all the things I said to you
And I give it all away
just to have somewhere to go to
Give it all away
to have someone to come home to

I went to the doctors thinking I was 123, but I was 129! Fucking doctors office man, also I told the damn lady my shoes weigh 1.5 but she wouldn't let me take them off. IGNORANCE!

Ugh I hate scales haha! I should splurge and buy the most accurate scale ever... I'm so paranoid, every scale gives a different weight.

omg!! my scale told me i was five pounds lighter than i was..and one day it actually gave me the accurate reading of five pounds higher...i went out and bought a new scale just to confirm it
it made me binge and now i've added an extra three pounds to that. fuckin' scales!

I have one set of digital scales that used to be my super accurate set, but now they drive me mad... The number they show can vary up to 10lbs, even more if you move then around even on even surfaces, and I have no idea which is right!!
Now I just stick to 1 pair or none-digital scales and don't move them at all, if I can help it.

i just try to use the same scale, and never move it. i have it super gorilla glued to the floor. and it always gives me a pretty accurate reading compared to scales at the doctor, gym, and school. but it was like.. $200.

Yeah. When you weigh yourself just make sure you always weigh yourself around the same time before you eat and after you pee...and using the same scale in the same area helps because if there's any reason the number might be a little off it'll always be off the same amount. So I mean, at least if my scale is messed up and I really weigh 5 lbs more than it says if it goes down 2 lbs and I get happy about my weight loss but then go and weigh myself somewhere else and I'm back up 5 lbs from that I'll think I gained weight when in reality I maintained but because the scales are different I messed up.
