What do you do when you become too scared, too scared to live, too scared to die, too scared to love, too scared to even care?
All you must do is breathe and take it one moment at a time. We are strong and deserve to find true happiness <3

Oh honey, that is simply breath-taking and, as Mianis said, conveys a very powerful message. Your surrealistic approach really captures the fragility of the figure in the soft, transluscent brush strokes. I'm curious, what media did you use? Watercolor? I also feel you used excellent judgement by using a limited palette--it gives it a dreamy effect, somber. And the evanescent words I see on different parts of the figure's ribs and stomach make a deep statement about how she feels about herself.
It's brilliant. Your art teacher clearly doesn't know anything about real art. You can tell her I said that.
You should work on a collection based on your theme. I know I'd pay to have a piece like this framed on my wall. :-)Lady Persephone

Light
The night has a thousand eyes,
The day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun.
The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one;
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When its love is done.

Thank you very much!! It really means a lot to here that you guys like it!
Lady Ju- I did a water color background using pinks, reds, purples, and browns. Then for the figure I used charcoal, I also wrote with charcoal. I used a bit of red chalk on the figure as well, to tie it together with the background a bit more!
I'm so happy to here good feedback about it!! Thank you both!!

As Mianis mentioned, it is very powerful. Perhaps your teacher didn't like it because it was 'controversial'.

*hugs* I'm glad we could help--just keep on going with your art, you'll go really far.
I thought it was watercolor, and you blended those colors in so well that you couldn't easily tell they were in there; the charcoal gives it that "noir" depth. I hope you'll draw more and post them up here. I majored in graphic design when I was at university, but I never have done much with the degree, and eventhough I feel like the education was a somewhat waste of time, I'll never forget the wonderful drawing classes I got to take. No matter how shitty you're feeling, you can always pour out your emotions into your art and make something beautiful of them. I haven't drawn in a long time, though, I mostly write, but you've inspired me to go back to my drafting table.
Thanks for the inspiration.

I don't usually comment on art, but this is much better than the regular skinny crappy drawings. It's so detailed and mesmerizing even for people without an eating disorder.

Wow, that's really good! As everyone beat me to saying, your art gives a very strong message. I like how you've incorporated all the words and how grey and dreary it looks. Even the little detail of adding the bracelet is nice.

I don't wanna live like this tomorrow, I don't wanna feel like this today, make me feel better, I wanna feel better, stay with me here now and never surrender
