    Default paleo diet?

I've always had a problem with eating things out of boxes or anything grainy and carb-y. I don't necessarily believes it's natural to each so much processed foods, and I think our carb addiction is quite out of control.

Has anyone tried the paleo diet? What's your view on it?

I'm not flawed, I'm just an excellent example of being human.

I've never tried it but i definitely agree, I feel much better when i eat less out of boxes, packets, processed food and when i make my own stuff or just fruits, veg, proteins separate or in their normal state eg fresh.

Paleo is honestly the best "diet" I have ever been on. I still follow it. The first couple weeks can be tough kicking the sugar/carb habit but after that it's amazing. I had ana and bounced between restricting and binging, though it still happens rarely, it is never on sweets. I lost my sweet tooth following paleo. But don't be afraid to make your own tweaks, I still drink diet soda and have soy. But it is honestly a great diet

    Yep I agree.
I didn't realise that was what I was doing... (give or take the odd wee tweaks) but I feel SOOOO much better about eating regularly, eating free of processed crap. Its actually inspired me to take an interest in what I'm eating BEYOND the cal/fat/protein content! I do actually feel kinda like a different person... I've completely changed my lifestyle & I can FEEL myself smiling a lot more!

SkinnyMD don't despair! It IS def tough at the beginning... I don't know how you were eating before... but for me, coming from my worst bulimia (b/p 5 - 8 times a day) & living off diet sodas, a lifelong sugar addiction, an inability to 'cook' so a long term reliance on 'ready meals' & tins & cans (when I was eating) this was one of THE hardest things I've done. I literally went through withdrawal, felt REALLY run down & lethargic for the first 7 - 10 days. After 10 days I had more energy than I'd had for a LONG time!!! It is worth it

i'm definitely going to keep with it! i know the first couple of weeks will be tough de-toxing from carbs and sugars and refined things..but thank you I will keep that in mind and keep going!

Also make sure you are taking a solid multivitamin and multimineral, also some vitamin D if your not in the sun. Alot of times the processed shit we eat actually has that stuff put into them (i.e. Special K, enriched bread). And don't skimp on protein, the majority of people's diet are carbs and when they stop eating them there is a HUGE gap in there calorie intake. I'm not at all saying go overboard, but just keep in mind. You were most likely experiencing the low carb "flu". Take in some fruit and try to have scheduled meals. Good Luck

The 50+ one is fine, might even be better do to the higher amount of calcium, selenium, and Vit D it has. Let me know how the diet goes for you. Also I find coconut helps too for sweet cravings
