    Default Exercise and bones

I've recently started to exercise ( not excessively about 20-40 mins a day) and I'm having a hard time doing some of the things because my bones ( spine tailbone, back of hip bones and butt ) stick out and it kills I put towel under me and even folded blanket but the towel isn't enough and the blanket is too bulky . Would a yoga mat work much better ... What do you use?

I get what you mean. I find it so uncomfortable. A towel helps me better than the floor in general, or the towel over my rug. I've always wanted to try out a yoga mat, it's made of different material and i don't see why it wouldn't make it easier. I've personally never tried one, i've just put up with it but now im contemplating on getting one. If anyone with a yoga mat can see a *big* difference please do say!

I use a yoga mat when I'm excersizing at home and it makes a huge difference on my lower back, no bruises! Depending on what I'm doing my tailbone and my spine might still get a little tender, so sometimes I just double my mat.

Well no doubt that exercise is important for bones. It makes bones healthy and strong. There are lot of exercises but i think running is good for bones. Exercise and bones have great relationship so everyone should do exercise daily.

Awesome Idea on the yoga mat! I use to use a small throw pillow for my tailbone (i got bruises doing sit up once) but I usually try to do them somewhere padded like gym..

The yoga mat didn't work for me very well. I still have to use a pillow under my bones In my back. I started doing the ab ripper x DVD and it was so painful I had to fold the yoga mat 3x and use a small pillow

Yeah I don't find that my yoga mat males a huge difference other than providing traction for yoga and workout positions. I also don't have bones poking out really. I think double blankets would probably work best
