I make a low cal vegan chilli with quorn mince, canned tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, onions, sweetcorn and some chilli con carne seasoning powder. It's really low cal and so comforting. Looks like a proper hearty meal too so it's good for if you're cooking for others and don't want to look like you're restricting. I serve it to others with cornbread and grated cheese. Wouldn't touch that myself though but people don't notice.

Also a veg curry can seem like a more calorie dense meal than it is. The key is to make it tomato based rather than with cream or coconut milk as most are which makes Indian food so typically high cal.
Just cook a bunch of veggies, add a tin of canned tomatoes, and then either put a few spoons of your chosen curry paste or powder in. I eat the curry alone. I'll serve it up with poppadoms, rice, naan breads and chutneys on the table. No-one notices if I don't eat those.

I like to make ice-pops out of crystal light or dilatable cordials too.

Mashed cauliflower is the shizz! I put some onion, garlic, salt and pepper in a pan-cook in one cal spray. Boil some cauliflower and then throw the whole lot in a blender.

Now this is going to sound crazy but it works and its lovely.

Basically chop up onion and brown them with quorn chicken pieces, once that is done add tomato purée, worcester sauce and a can of diet coke, bring to the boil, then simmer until the diet coke reduces down. I have this with rice or in pitta bread or on top of a jacket potato.

It tastes like BBQ sauce but really low calorie

This was a really, really helpful idea. Thank you so much.

I've been eating raw mushrooms for years now and my mum, friends and cousins still thinks I am weird.
They taste wonderful don't know why they just don't try them out they'll love them.

I eat Kidney Beans from the tin cold or warmed up <3 them.
They are not too high in calories for me and besides I like how they taste.

Talking about onions, I cut mine into medium sized chunks and throw them in the microwave until they dehydrate and that tastes really lovely to me. I also do the same with mushroom and peas. I microwave my peas until they are dry and crunchy. It all tastes wonderful.
