    Actually, I feel more like BED caused me a sort of depression.

    i think that also makes a lot of sense. i've had disordered eating for many years, but i know for a fact that i feel happy when i restrict, and a lot sadder when i binge.

    This is a classic causation vrs. correlation argument. It is clear that there is a correlation between all eating disorders and depression but it is difficult to prove which comes first. Personally I have found that depression is a symptom of my eating disorder and not the other way around.

    For me stress was the cause, plus I have a tendency to be obsessive and I guess most of the time I think about food and that leads me to binge, plus loneliness. Any sadness/depression tends to come from the guilt of binging....

    Exactly. Throw some social anxiety in there and you get the ultimate shity-binge cycle.
