    Default Healthier pizza?

I'm off to Pizza Express (haven't been there in years) later this week and see that they now offer a 'lighter' option when it comes to pizzas. They take out the middle of the dough and fill it with salad. 500 calories apparently. I never thought I would be able to eat pizza again but I think I can manage this. Has anybody tried this range of pizzas and if so what did you think?

Cool worth a try. If i fancied pizza i'd have a piece of wholemeal pitta bread, spread some tomato puree on top and sprinkle pepper and herb mixes on top.. yum.. and add on anything else you might like

Odd, but I do enjoy arugula on pizza, how does salad really differ? Verdure would be my choice, fancy zucchini and all.

Have you seen the American headlines today? Following the footsteps of their beloved Ronald Reagan, who defended HFCS-riddled ketchup counted as a vegetable in school lunch programs, the latest GOP budgetary attack insists on the classification of pizza as a vegetable. It's all cool now.

Sorry this thread is a bit old, hope no one minds me adding to it.

I make my own crust and roll it out super thin, top with tomato sauce, a little cheese, loads of veggies, chicken. You can make a bunch of personal sized servings at once and freeze, unbaked, anything you aren't going to eat. Then its easy to take one out of the freezer and throw it in the oven whenever.

I make my own 'safe' pizza at home...thin crust with tomato sauce, grilled veggies and a little low-fat mozzarella.
I used to eat it often when I was losing steadily years ago and it never stopped my weightloss. After all, if you don't go heavy on condiments and make it very thin is basically a little carbs, veggies and some cheese.
    One step at a time.
