Energy drinks?
Do energy (diet of course!!!) drinks aid in weight loss? Do any of you guys drink them? I generally drink only diet soda, but am willing to drink diet energy drinks if it helps speed up weight loss.
Of course, the only problem is that I think diet Red Bull has like 8 calories. Not sure about that. It wouldn't be too much of a problem, though, because I generally eat 150-200 calories a day anyway.Something filled up my heart with nothing, someone told me not to cry.
I think I'll go to Boston. I think I'll start a new life. I think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name.

There's an entire thread devoted to the dangers of artificial sweeteners which include causing weight problems in how your body signals hunger/fullness and how you absorb nutrients from the 150 calories you allegedly eat. All that caffeine at once is bad for you. The jittery blends like taurine and glucuronolactone can negatively affect your thyroid. And so on. Energy drinks are bad, diet soda is bad, might as well drink tea and almond milk.

Thanks. I know, my mum always tells me that we should be drinking only natural things and diet soda is unnatural.
Not sure what you mean by ''allegedly''. I've had anorexia since age 12 and I go through phases of eating 150 cals for a while, then 500, then 1000, then 150. Obviously *no one* could survive eating 150 cals for months on end.

I'm assuming she/he was thinking this^^ since it wasn't included in the first post. Don't take the slight hostility to a question that is on the boarder of asking for tips poorly, we all try and promote health rather than aid people in unhealthy behaviours.
Your reply was well thought out though, so I gather that you're not like 'derpderp imma drink all the caffeines and looose all the weights', but yea as your first post could be seen as a bit tip-ish the way it was worded, thus the slight hostility.
As for energy drinks, I'm not saying I don't drink them once in a while, but they do mess with the body, and are definitely not healthy. They might give you an immediate energy boost, but it's not worth the risks of drinking a lot of them over a long period of time. Plus, the artificial sweetners are terrible for you, and may inhibit weightloss.Every man dies. Not every man really lives.

I become totally addicted to diet red bull when I have a re lapse. I don't recommend drinking these all the time, they can make you dependent!
Power is equal to the square of the current times resistance!

All I have to say is, whenever I drink energy drinks or coffee it makes me tired and makes me fall asleep & works as a diuretic which I hate, because I end up needing to urinate about every 8 minutes. Not Cool At All!
I combined Red Bull with Monster and Lucozade I think it was and I just felt so tired.Contradiction.
My Life is Split in Two.
Rational & Irrational.
It is a Contradiction.
