When you think you're too fat to have an eating disorder. Basically everyone is dieting these days anyway, so it's not like it's a big deal (as you're leaning over the toilet bowl).

When you plan to take laxatives on the weekends (Including Friday)
Because those days you find yourself eating more than during the week.

When you eat, you eat the SAME MEAL and purge it all up and then take laxatives. Not only that but you can't tell how thin you are and people often comment on how 'you need to eat' but when you do eat, it's the same food that is considered a binge but it's the only thing you eat all day but then you purge that....along with wanting to not just look thin, but look gross skeletal even through you don't even know why... <----my problem.

You think back on your weight fluctuations over the past few years and the range is dizzying.

    This is so me.

A lot of these define me to a T! I have some more:

-One day eating a total of 600 cals is good and you congratulate yourself on doing so well... but then the next day you consider yesterday a binge and fast.. OR you consider yesterday way too little and eat 1200 cals to make up for it.
-Your housemates know your issues with eating just from being around you but you know they don't say anything about it because you look normal
-You buy a 40$ ticket to go to a banquet with a buffet, you get a plate of food, but then you're unable to eat even a carrot stick (I can't believe I paid 40$ only to dance :/)
-You don't really have any "safe" foods.. just an alloted number of cals a day. If that means that those cals are consumed in one huge muffin then that's it for the day.
-Despite the constant internal battle, you generally feel like what you do is normal and nothing is really wrong.

YES! It's not about the food for me, it's purely the calories. Like if I feel like splurging and having a high calorie day, I'll have it in a single Chipotle burrito bowl, or a DQ blizzard, or a sandwich at Jimmy Johns, and eat nothing the rest of the day. It's one of the reasons I convince myself I don't really have a problem, because in my view "real" anorexics would never eat like that.

Amen to that. My brain works in calories and pounds rather than food/ nutritional intake or inches lost.
A still more glorious dawn awaits.
