Flatter Stomach Advice?
Hi...
So I have been steadily exercising for approximately 6 months now. I go to the gym AT LEAST 6 times a week. My exercises vary from cardio to strength training. Anyway, everything seems to be toning nicely except my stomach! No matter what I do, it is still "fluffy" (shall we say).
Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do?Last edited by -catz; 10-16-2011 at 09:04 PM.

Low Carb
Try to follow a low carb diet, eat mostly proteins and low carb veggies, limit your carb intake to 30grams a day for a week or two and you should get results pretty quick!

Get a personal trainer.... someone who can watch what your doing and figure out what would be best..... Or try googling core workout to see how others do it. Other than that I can't say much seeing that I have a fat stomach still and those are things I do. Also you can try ZUMBA!!!! It really works the core.

Try doing bridges and planks or varying types of sit up & crunches. For the sides (love handles) twist sit ups, for the top of your stomach (nr your ribs) crunches with legs crossed and raised in the air, for middle and lower abs- extending leg crunches or the advanced crunch. Also leg raises work the lower part of your stomach and seal raises (can't think of the proper name but when you lie face down and raise your head off the floor as high as you can and lower it back it down under control).
Good luck

There was a thread awhile back about stomachs. I can't fully remember it, but it stated to eat only lean proteins, berries, egg whites, no more than one egg yolk in a day, among various other things. Try doing that?

Stomach & ab exercises help! but they can only do so much... the rest, it's just genetics and diet/weight-based. Or if you have the tendency to be bloated.
At least, that's what trainers at my gym tell me...

Eating food in right proportions is always beneficial. You must prepare a diet chart in which you must note what amount of each nutrient must be taken by you. You can cut down your fast food intake, which may be tasty but not healthy.

I've read multiple articles in health/ exercise magazines that say that you should focus on cardio to shed weight, and then work on building your ab muscles later on. Why? Because if you start doing crunches, and abs too soon, you're ultimately just building a layer of muscle underneath your 'trouble area'.

do alota cardio, cut out artificial sugars, and salt from ur diet. Stick to protein, (egg white, lean meat, ect...) and good low carbs for me that is fat free turkey jerky. Its high in protein and has low carbs. Work ur core alot, and also work ur legs and it will help.
