    Concrete Angel by Martina McBride

A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with and upturned face
Her name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot

Those lyrics destroyed me the first time I heard it. Geez,it's so sad.
Starry-eyed and laughing as I recall when we were caught
Trapped by no track of hours for they hanged suspended
As we listened one last time an' we watched with one last look
Spellbound an' swallowed 'til the tolling ended
Tolling for the aching ones whose wounds cannot be nursed
For the countless confused, accused, misused, strung-out ones and worse
And for every hung-up person in the whole wide universe
And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

Depends on what I am sad about. But "Elephants" by Rachael Yamagata always kills me.

'No light no light' by Florrence and the machine.
Of all the words of mice and men, the saddest are, "It might have been.”

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!!! The lyrics are sad & kinda depressing... but the actual song makes me happy & jump about my apartment (quite literally, often to my neighbours delight!).
“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”

"I hope we start seeing forever, instead of what we can gain in a day"

"If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up!"

“Even if you stumble, you’re still moving forward.”

Lately my saddest song has been "So far away" by Avenged Sevenfold. Can't even listen to it without having a tear form up.

Cold - No One (acoustic version)

I just can't seem to shake this horrible low feeling . . . this dreadful drop in serotonin levels.
    Lady Persephone
I can almost see him now before me. What would I say to him, if he were really here? Forgive me, I’ve never known this feeling. I’ve lived without it all my life. Is it any wonder then I fail to recognize you? You brought it to me for the first time. Is there anyway that I can tell you how my life has changed. Anyway at all, to let you know what sweetness you have given me. There is so much to say and I can’t find the words except for these: I love you. - from Somewhere in Time
