I've been in a binge/fasting cycle where I'm both working out and fasting with every other day being a binge. When I workout I use the elliptical machine at the gym for about half an hour (unfortunately I don't have more time for weights and such because I have to go to work) and burn 400 calories. I'm currently on day 2 of a fast and I'm wondering if 30 mins. on the elliptical would be too risky... The first day I know I'm fine, and I've never passed out but if I stand up fast I see black and I get dizzy a lot :/ Guess I'll try it out, going to the gym right now.
So that's my case, but I was just wondering what you all think about cardio on a fast, or do you typically try to lay low? Also, does it depend on the length of the fast?

Cardio while fasting?
It's a very good idea to lay low and take it easy when you're fasting. You're body really does not have the energy to work out, cause you're not feeding it anything! Defiantly should take it easy then try working out after you've broken the fast.
Be safe hun. xoxoI want to kiss the bottom of the ocean before I burst through its surface into the sunlight, otherwise I will always be wondering about what was left unseen at the bottom.
I ended up breaking the fast later that day, I'll try not to push myself as much next time. Thanks

When I've fasted, I've exercised too but it's definitely not a good idea, it will make you get to the point where you're going to pass out much quicker. If you really want to fast, then try not to exercise much. You'll be able to fast longer and hopefully it won't exhaust you to the point where you'll snap and binge from it.
Hmm I want to try longer, less intense fasts. I've never really gone past two days with a lot of cardio and it really knocks me out. Then binge -__- Thanks!
