    Question itching scars?? :S

so, I got these scars, they are not that old but they have healed and everything. so theyre just white lines now kinda.
but theyre itching like crazy! never happened before, just when they are healing but not after all that?!

Im a little bit worried that it might be an infection or whatever... eh idk.
has this happened to anyone else? or maybe I shouldnt be worried?

Mine itch all the time. Usually "newer" scars itch more than old ones, but some of the old, deep cuts still let themselves be known whenever the weather changes...or just randomly, really.

As long as your scars look "normal" and arent red or hot to the touch or look swollen, you dont have to worry about infections though.

yeah as long as the only symptom is the itching you should be fine, sometimes scars tend to do that (especially deeper ones)

my keloids itched like CRAZY for several years after they healed up, they've only stopped bothering me recently

As long as your scares are white it means they have healed...as far as I can tell u should be fine. It may be psychological, that something still bothers u...

My old and new ones itch like CRAAAAZY if I gain or lose weight rapidly. Especially the ones on my legs! Besides that they only itch if they're still healing.

I would think as along as your scares are healing they should be fine.
My only scared that itch are the ones on my thighs.
Odd but the ones up my sides and across my ribs don't. Lol

but its so weird tho, they are kinda old now and they didnt bother me before, til now.. hm :P
and I got one thats much deeper than these but it never itches, just those weeks when it still was a wound.

OzJenj; could be that its the same for me maybe, losing/gaining rapidly.

and thanks guys! this made me calm again ^^heh kinda
