This site has really helped me to stop myself from bingeing. From sharing my experiences in the forums, I've relived how much pain and self-disgust I've gone through because of my binges. It really helps me stay on track, and not give into my cravings. Thanks!

That is only a short term fix I am sorry to say. The only way to really stop binging is to stop restricting and get out of that restriction mentality. Stop restricting and break the vicious binge/restrict cycle. Easier said than done but keep it in mind. I wish you the best and hope you do well x

I completely understand what you mean. My daily check ups on this site (and a diet pill as soon as I wake up) has helped me stay off the binge mode. I notice myself more inclined to eat more when I haven't been on this in a while. Like today I ate 400 calories as opposed to my 100-200 and I came straight here to stop myself having anymore cos that could have easily escalated into 1000. It doesn't matter if I had 2000 calories of fruit or pure junk I always get the post binge depression. The only thing that makes me feel any better is if I have ate something that is easy to purge. But I had pasta today and even though it was that orzo (rice look a like) pasta it is a biatch for staying down. Ice cream on the other hand...... every cloud has a silver lining I guess.
The main way I have prevented binges though is that over time I have developed an innate fear of any food or portion that exceeds 100cals and I can't justify a really small custard cream cos there are too many calories for the size. So I sit looking at for about 10minutes thinking are you taking the piss. I also, inwardly compete with my boyfriend. Like, I watch him eat chocolate mindlessly, then maybe a packet of crisps later and I think REALLY?! I have eaten less all day than what you just put away without thought, and for what, what satisfaction did you honestly get from that chocolate and crisps, like I watch people eating, in ways I'm jealous that they don't think about every bite they take of something but then I compare to myself who, when feeling bingey impulsively lifts like a plain tortilla wrap and starts biting into it like I've never eaten before in my life but half way through I have taught myself to stop. I'm not saying I don't binge ever... Goodness me I do but I have worked that down to seldom, by coming here, having a diet pill or three in the day (which is the recommended dosage anyway) and my setting competitions. They really do help cos they make you think even more about what you're eating and makes you have a better sense of pride when you in essence win. I like to set a target to eat no more calories than what my boyfriend has for breakfast. EASY! I notice that I eat more when people aren't around so I've stopped buying as much food to have. I used to buy food for binging, now I just don't buy it at all and then there isn't even an option. I wonder why I never even though of that in the first place. :P fail.

Sorry, I've gone on a rant. But it's just I empathize so much with what you're saying and I guess I like to share blah blah blah

    xx
