ok, so I was just wondering if i was ocd at all. I cant touch our dog without washing my hands a couple times after, but i dont mind petting my cat (although i do still wash my hands after but i dont feel as anxious to do it if you get my drift) even though our dog stays in our house. I cant sleep in my room when its messyand i have to leave everything in specific way on my desk at school (usually the top left bit of the desk).
Do you think i am overreacting to this stuff, maybe i am:confused:

Nah, no way. When you have OCD, there is no such thing as overreacting. You will go crazy if you do not act compulsively towards things and actions that you obsess over. Besides, to each his own. :)

One person may think it is, while another may not. The best thing to do, is to do whatever satisfies you. :) Learn to somewhat "embrace" it and live with it. I spent years and years fighting the fact that I "might" have had OCD, once I finally accepted it, I learn how to do with it and it made so many things so much easier. :)

You're not OCD. Dogs are dirty; cats clean themselves constantly. And I wash my hands in the kitchen after every activity while cooking and would certainly do so if I just petted my cat: that's not obsessing, that's keeping the food clean.

I have some things I MUST have a certain way (because I use them constantly and want to know exactly where the thing is), and others I let go of. Sounds like you do, too. That's not OCD. You just want your space your way so it works for you physically and mentally (a comfortable bedroom), as anyone would.
