Well when I am exercising, I feel like quitting after a minute. I really want to exercise to improve my heart, and speed up weight lost. Anyone has tips?
I want to exercise for at least an hour at a time?

I rigged up a computer above my treadmill .. so I watch videos and type while I walk .. but when I do it's to build muscle more so than lose weight

You've got to build up resistance over time. Look into programs like the Couch to 5k thing and that will probably have many people similar to you.

I find that music is really motivating, so i put on my favorite songs that I know the words to and just zone out into the music instead of worrying about the exercise Im doing. Television is great too!
I also suggest working out with friends. They can really keep you motivated to exercise consistently and keep you distracted.

To build up to more, you need to push just beyond what is natural and easy. So, if you want to quit after just one minute, then force yourself to go for two minutes today. Four minutes tomorrow. Always just beyond your comfort zone. If you're "lucky" and you get addicted, then you'll need to keep upping things until you're really burning and getting fit.

some times listening to music would motivate your self or working out with a gym partner would help too.

If you're starting to hurt during the first few minutes of exercise, it's likely that youre starting out too fast. Start realllllyyy slow and easy, and then just build up your speed/resistance gradually. It's better to walk at a medium pace for an hour than to jog for five minutes!

Start with just saying you'll just do a short amount of time - e.g. 5/10 minutes. You can always carry on once you've done that if you want, saying "Just a little longer." I've heard some people say that and it helps them end up doing 30 minutes! Or you can do some more later on. But you can also just do one small amount for a few days, then increase the time every few days (or week, or anything) until you are happy and comfortable with that length of time.
Also choose something that you enjoy (or at least don't hate - basically not your worst experience of exercise).
Definitely music. MP3/iPod and fast, happy music are almost a must!

I have a portable DVD player sitting on my treadmill. Without it I don't think I would exercise for more than 10 minutes. I also purposefully moved to an apartment that was exactly 1 mile from my office and I walk to work everyday. This takes the guesswork out of daily exercising because I automatically spend 1 hour walking every day that I work. On days that I don't work, I might go for a walk in a different direction or use my treadmill while watching a video.
I need a dvd player with a bigger screen though; the one I have is too small.
