typical day:
instant breakfast (200 cal)
"salad" - one egg white cooked in microwave, 2" cucumber chopped, 4chopped pecan halves (60 cal)
oatmeal with apple and cinnamon or honey (120 cal) or 1 slice brown bread with a black diamond cheese string, put in oven to melt cheese (160 cal)

Average day would be porridge for breakfast (I try to bulk it up calorie wise so generally a handful of raisins and a small spoon of peanutbutter, and I make it with soymilk, works out about 200 cals).
Lunch would be a sandwich or a few pieces of fruit and some nuts.
Dinner-depends on whether or not I'm cooking for my boyfriend or not. If he's not here it could be anything from a bag of popcorn, to a veg stir fry, a pot noodle, or another sandwich. If he's here, something much more substantial, usually along the lines of pasta or rice with a kidney bean/chickpea sauce. Obviously I take very small portions of that.
I eat a lot more than a lot of people here really :(, between 800 and 1200 a day most of the time.

Depends on what diet plan I'm on, but if I'm not on one:
Apples
Oranges
Blueberries, strawberries, etc
Bananas (sparingly)
Grapes
Rice cakes
Carrots
Celery
Cucumbers
Light and Fit yogurt
Soup at hand
Oatmeal with soymilk and butter buds

Since I am here, I will once again recommend Almond Breeze Unsweetened Almond Milk (Original or Vanilla)!
It is a pretty good "milk substitute" and even lower calorie than soy milk! It only has 40 calories per cup! I use it as a "milk substitute" in everything.. Cereal, oatmeal, baking, etc..
^(If it is not sweet enough, just add a packet of splenda or something.. :))^

whoever said starvation is the only way of loosing weight?! I lost a lot of weight by a healthy 1200-1400 diet! but then unfortunately, my diet went completely wrong! Anyway, I still loose when I eat 800-1200 Cals.. but I maintain when I consume 1300-1400.
btw, REALLY GLAD YOU'RE BACK! :)

Is it delicious when heated and mixed with coffee?! I do use soy milk when I make smoothies and I find it ok.. but when I heated it (did that only once), it smelled really weired and tasted horrible when mixed with the coffee!

Yes, I think it is good heated. It is heated in oatmeal and tastes delicious. I also mix it in my coffee. I do not use too much though, so I do not know if it would taste too "almondy" if you over-used it.
I will say though, if you add some kind of hazelnut flavoring to your coffee it goes GREAT with this.
Speaking of this, in the coffee section at the store, Splenda now makes coffee creamer packets that are "calorie-free"! Just add a couple in your coffee and it makes it taste REALLY good. They have FRENCH VANILLA, HAZELNUT, and CARAMEL flavors! I like them all!!

WAW  I can't believe my eyes! zero calorie creamers..! I never new they existed.. lol :D Thanks for letting me know.. I can't thank you enough!
and about the almond milk, I don't think I'll use it! I used to be vegan for so long.. and recently I switched to lacto-ovo vegetarian because I started to be very concerned about my daily protein intake.. one cup of skimmed milk contains 97.5 Cals and 9 grams of protein. one cup of almond milk contains 40 Cals (which is great) but only 2 grams of protein!! I wish proteins were like vitamins and minerals.. I wish they had no calories!! :(
anyway, THANKS AGAIN :)

Always fruit for breakfast, either an apple or orange.
Some grapes, carrot sticks or baby tomatoes as a snack which i munch on untill lunch
Lunch: Two different fruit (apple, orange or banana) with either a cereal bar, rice cakes, or a yogurt (typically 100 cal)
Dinner: Salad, or soup, usually something healthy around 200 cal. If im really hungry or craving, ill have a small desert like a popsical.
Ill probably snack on veggies or fruit untill bed too tho. I snack alot, thats my main problem:[[[
Oh and tons of cofee through out the day (all with skim/soy and splenda)

Does anyone drink diet coke or coke zero? My friend drinks diet coke and says it has zero calories. Is it good or not? I normally don't drink anything fizzy.
I eat the same as most people here - that's if I am dieting not when binge eating of course then I eat everything.
when dieting I have
soup - 99 calories for 300 mls
salad leaves - packet - 15 cals
carrots
apple
orange / cementine
drink - orange squash - 20 calories
cereal bar - 70 calories (this is my treat, it has chocolate in it)
water
cereal - oats porridge with skimmed milk - about 165 cals
sometimes veg - brocolli, cauliflower (very few calories)
I can have a slice of bread too if I want but rarely - 60 calories
that's it really - but I add and remove things depending on calories. If I feel like I miss something, I will eat it but go without other meals to make up for it. Or exercise a lot.

Bran flakes with 0.1% milk
Eggs
Apples, clementines, grapefruit
These chocolate and strawberry bars from Boots that are 89 calories but SO FIT and satisfying.
Lentil soup
Prawns (omg)
Sometimes I will have a sandwich for lunch if it's under 300 calories
and
sometimes I replace dinner with a glass of v8 juice
I'm not an extreme dieter, I eat lots of different things, but they are some of my favourite food.
I find it more useful to have the biggest meal at lunch time rather than dinner time because that's when I need the energy. At dinner you only have a few more hours left to keep going so you don't have to eat very much.

breakfast: oatmeal & yogurt (180) or light vanilla frap from starbuckies (170)
lunch: no more than 100 cals. usually veggies. i like raw brocolli, carrots, bell peppers, and cucumbers with some light vinigrette dressing. yum.
dinner: microwave dinner. (my parents have to see that i'm eating) so i'll eat a 200-300 cal healthy choice microwave dinner or something similar.
total of 470-580 cals a day.
i find raw brocolli to be VERY filling and i like it.
