What do you all do when eating at restaurant?
My family always asks me to go out with them.

I usually try and order the least fatty thing on the menu, like salad or something.
Then if they ask me why I just say that I don't feel like anythng too heavy.
Or if you can't get away with ordering salad, just say that you don't like what you ordered and pick at it.
Works every time for me :D

But if I have to go out, I'll order something I really hate and won't eat it. Or I order salad. Nobody gives me any grief about it since they are all fat and know they are unhealthy so I'm the model of perfection that they all want to be--even if I think I'm still the size of a truck!

yes, the others r right...these r the good strategies.
if they wont let u to not order, order some salad, or some seafood(mussels, or shrimps)...almost nothing in cals.
or just tell them, with a horrifieing face, that u almost puking, somethings wrong with your stomach.
for example, when my family r doing some special dinners, lunches, or restaurant eatings...sometimes i motivate the fatt ones to eat less food,:D 'cause i almost eat nothing, or only veggies.
try it.

I have a list of restaurants in my little book that i have checked out online - i know the cal and fat content of everything on the menu and so if forced to go i can calmly order the safest option without anyone noticing. if we are going somewhere new then i stick to a tuna steak with a dry salad - even if its not on the menu they will usually make it up for me. I drink lots of water in between bites and go to the bathroom twice just to kill time. slow down towards the end of the meal (talk and divert the attention away from my plate) and then say im just too full to finish. and of course never have desert unless fresh fruit is available.
