Hi ladies,
I'm going to start a juice fast on Friday 2nd Jan... who's in?
I was originally going to do 7 days but I reckon if I'm not on my own I might be able to go longer (I'm not too hot on fasting) so I'm open to suggestions.
The plan was also to have a daily weigh-in as support. What do you reckon?

I can't wait. And can't wait for everybody to go back to work so they can take their nasty food with them.
Anyway, my plan is at least 7 days, but I just did a 7 day fast and it was easy so I'm thinking I'd like to try two weeks. I lost about a lb a day so I'm really excited about doing this again.
I'm going to report each day on my daily intake and I'm happy to also report weight loss so we can keep eachother accountable.
Somebody also needs to keep me accountable for crunches each night. I can't do much more than that when I'm fasting but crunches are great and somebody needs to ask me if I've done them every day.
Yay us!

yeah im already starting to get ready for the fast. but it's going to be super tough, i think the bf is starting to suspect something like really, how do i just NOT have lunch everyday?

I'm going to restrict for the next three days as I have no more holiday obligations. I'll spred 300cals over the next three days and then begin the fast. Can't wait!

So today I woke up fine and had black coffee and cigarettes for breakfast. I was going to fast all day but fuckin in laws wanted to go out to lunch so I had some lettuce, 1 vodka and some plane prawns where was probably about 200cals. I'm done for the day now and I'm going to start my fast clear headed in the morning!
Yay, me--weigh in starts tomorrow. I have three weeks to drop 20lbs, I can do that, right?

Ladies, the fun begins starting tomorrow. Please tell me you're all gearing up!
trying2lose--a juice fast is done best with fresh fruit/veggie juices that you make yourself. You can buy something similar but you should water it way down to cut back on cals and sugar.
I have a juicer so I just put things like cucumbers, beets, lettuce, apple, celery through it.
You can always water fast which will produce weight loss much quicker but it's harder. It makes you much weaker and you might have trouble functioning if you have to work.
When I fast my method is black Coffee, cigarettes, water, diet coke when I absolutly have to and sugar free gum at the end of the day if I'm really feeling like I need to eat. I just did a 7day fast and had dramatic weight loss over the course of the week.
The only thing to be really carefull of is when you break your fast. Everything that you eat your body will hold onto for dear life becuase it thinks it's been in starvation and it might not get anymore food for a while. It's really easy to put weight back on in abundance after a fast so break it carefullly with raw fruit and veg for a week.

hi girls i am appauled by my current condition and NEED to lose at least 14lb by the 23rd, 20lb would be fantastic but ill be happy with anythibng over 14. im restricting to an average of 400/300 cals a day and have just ordered more hoodia as it really helps in the first week or so of a restrict.

im super stoaked. i want to go for at least ten days, until the hunger goes away.
im going to be drinking water, tea, diet pop and ill have one cup of soup broth each night. gum if the ketones get really bad. my mom always knows when im not eating because i smell haha
i want to go until i can fit back into my skinny jeans!!:o

(first few days, i think i'll do a kinda water/fruit diet, and after the juice fast)

So, day two begins. Feel like shit today--starving for some stupid reason but I'm happy to have dropped weight already. Don't say it's water weight either, because I'm drinking a lot!
black coffee and diet coke this am--try to get rid of my starvation headache.
Smokes, water, black coffee and broth.
For some reason this is kicking my ass today. Fasting usually dosen't.

i know u can do this - iv lost 6lb in 2 days! thats amazing! and i didnt even use laxies! its good but still not happy, i will feel better when i lose another 6lb and am back to my safe skinny weight.

For some reason I woke up with a migraine but I vomited a few times (not on purpose, this time--heehee) and felt better.

for the week i have no clue, im eating way more than the rest of u girls as im working my way back down from the christmas and new year binge! iv basically just been reducing my daily intake by 200 untill 3 days ago when i got down to 400 cals, then 350 yesterday, 300 today and 250 tomorrow. im starting just fruit and veg on Monday and i dont really count cals when im doin that as u cant possibly gain weight just for having too much broccoli!

haha, Sarah--you are much more sane than I am then--I still measure cals in all veggies. I think you have a point though, gradually working yourself off the holiday binge. I'm finding it much harder to fast this time, but it's because my body got used to taking in so many more cals for those few days.
