Hi. This may seem rather strange but i'm officially addicted to sweetners. I have it all the time as the calorie content is virtually no existent. Are there any negative side effects to having it in large doses? e.g. weight gain. xxx

it depends wot sweetner you use - steer clear of sweetner containing aspertame - its a nasty man made chemical that can literally rot your stomach and give you stomach cancer!!!!!! the sad thing is its contained in allll diet sodas etc, so just chek ure not doubling up on it in ure sweetner ure using. one thing i did read is that,a test has been done on rats, some on suger - some on sweetner - and in the end the rats with sweetner got fatter because the sweetner gives a false sense of something, i dont totally remember, but i do try to avoid sweetner when i can for this reason! just be careful with it xxxxxxxxxxx

Everything in moderation. There is one 0 cal that I love that is a natural sweetner and also has some fiber in it. It's called Stevia and you can find it at most natural food markets or health food stores. They make it in little individual packets too so you can carry it with you. I wish they made diet coke with it. I only have one Diet coke a day for lunch so I'm willing to live with the consequences. Splenda is a much better option too than sweet and low or whaterver else you are using.

I don't drink that much of it too but do drink a bit of diet cordial so I guess this is just as bad!:(
