Kay, So i know they are IFOF, and that red means ana etc etc, but it bothers me. i've noticed that there seems to be a colour for everything but fasting,. now i know its not a ED. but i veiw it as a gap from ED to ED if you will. in my case, ana to mia to fast to ana to mia kinda deal. and well in that gap there is no colour to represtent it.
so i propose brown be the fast bracelet colour. soup coffee diet soads all a shade of brown. make sence right?

i donno, just an idea. mull it over, tell me what ya think.
cause i dont know about you, but i'd like a way to idenify a friend, even when they are on a fast.

Red: Anorexia
Purple: Bulimia
Pink: EDnos (Eating Disorder not otherwise specified)
Blue: Depression
Orange/Black: SI (self injurer)
Green: Fasting at that time
Yellow: Suicidal
Turquoise: Overweight/Obese
Teal: Anxiety disorder/OCD/Panic disorder

if you add 1 white bead to a bracelet is means you are TRYING to recover from that illness.
if you have half white and half the illness color in the bracelet it means you're IN recovery.

Red and White: Ana Recovery
Purple and White: Mia Recovery
Pink and White: EDnos Recovery
Blue and White: Depression Recovery
Orange/Black and White: SI Recovery

But of course, if you want to use brown you can, but these are the colours I've always known the bracelets to be.

I always heard black beads were for recovery. I suppose black or white (or brown) works.

; ) Bracelets rock... an unspoken way of fitting in with someone...

(As long as they aren't mistaken for those sex-bracelets! LOL)

i think i am going to get a pink bracelet, i am unsure what my ED is so i guess it is EDNOS.

i never wear pink often either, so it wil be a nice change!

I need to get a few ribbons or something to make them with... But I also need white. Because even though I'm not trying to get better just yet. I hopefully will be soon...

I think the bracelet idea is beautiful - I always have. I'm okay with wearing them now - not beaded ones, the 'shag' bands, so they look like they fit in with the ones on my other wrist. Look out for me in Manchester. :)
And as for fasting - I'd say go for whatever colour you want to use. :) <3

i think it's brilliant, the whole bracelet idea for us, but what about people who aren't ana or mia or depressed or cutting or any of that, and they're just wearing a pretty bracelet for the sake of fashion or something? how do you actually know that the person is saying "hi there.i'm anorexic." ?

I remember reading somewhere to point to your bracelet with a questioning look on your face. If their bracelet has some sort of significance, they'll get the idea, and nod or whatever, if not they'll just think you're a bit strange. :)
