and when I say healthy, I mean healthy calorie intake!! I may eat crap sometimes!! :o
Emotional eater & Presqueparfait: You're more than welcome to join me :) I'd love to share with you my daily calorie intake, exercise plans, how I feel, and how things go. Ofcourse, everyone can join us! The more, the merrier :)
So, today is the first day (13th of Jan):

Okay, so here's my day...
I really fucked up yesterday, so im saying today is my first day :)
I made some awesome salad today and amazingly my calorie intake so far is 695 but i know later i will probs want a hot chocolate so itll be more like 800 i suppose...
but as my aim was 1000 for today i am very proud :) (seems yesterday i fucked up completely and had 2156 before i knew what was happening. well ive learnt my lesson)
and amazingly im down 3lbs from yesterday evening, (well that was this morning) wait, il go weigh myself now so i get an evening to evening change..181.5.... ok so thats still a half lb difference...il start doing it in the mornings from now on tho, so 179 was my weight this morning...)
for anyone who doesn't know i wish to be between 100-130 lbs by june.. i know thats a big difference but im going to see how i feel when i get there because i have never been that slim. i might like being at 130...
haha
so anyway, pretty good day today if i do say so myself :)

So today: I am attempting to eat normally which is actually quite hard, I feel a huge amt of guilt but i'm sticking with it because restricting has gotten harder.
Exercised this morning, about 30 cardio, 15 arm machine thing, and then 30+ walking to classes, barf.
Breakfast
180 cal bar
3/4 of a smoothie 200
Lunch
Salad-100
Toast- 120
A bit of pasta-maybe 100 if that.
So so far-600 and its 1:10 pm, yikes, thats so much, but no freak out allowed, just one meal at a time.

musicstreet25: you're more than welcome :) and always remember, you're not alone. we're all with you. each time you get depressed, instead of eating, remember you can post a thread about how you feel and we'll reply you back. To me, using a diary is very helpful (once I stopped that habit, things started to go in the opposit direction!!).. so try it.. it may be helpful to you.
For both of you: I'll post a thread about how to calculate your daily caloric requirements. Please, read it.
My 1st day was really good. I decided to eat 1200 Cals and I ate 1176.5. unfortunately, I didn't exercise!! I was extremely busy, preparing for a final exam I had today. so happy that the exam passed..! but I still have many others coming soon. My biggest fear is to binge while stressed..! I hope things go the way I plan.
this is a list of what I ate (weired stuff.. I know..! First, I'm vegan.. Second, It seems I forgot how human beings eat because of my ED!!)
-Sweetened pomegranate juice: 145 Cals.
-Regular coke: 105
-Banana: 135
-7 halves of raw walnut: 94.5
-7 raw almonds: 49
-7 roasted peanuts: 42
-1 cup of moment lentil soup: 69
-1 pack of vegetable flavoured noodles: 330
-7 dates: 182
-Sweetened turkish coffee: 25
(I separated them throughout the day. For people who tend to binge, it's always good to eat 1 piece (or a handful) of healthy food every 2-3 hours). I hope it works and lasts for a long time. I totally understand that even 1000 Cals/day can fatten me up, but I'll never purge (even if I binge) and I'll do whatever it takes to get my normal metabolism back.

well i had an emotiional moment with my mum and grandma, i dunno what the hell happened but we were talking about weight loss and i was just like, i cant wait to just be normal and ended up in tears, of course being heartless as my family are, they just turned round and said well you shouldnt have eaten so much crap...
says them, who are both overweight and have also been battling with it all their lives.
my mum seems intent on loosing more weight than me, she says youll never loose weight depriving yourself blah blah well guess what mother, ive lost 5 lbs already this week, and how many have you?! erm... the one! so there!! :p
yea i lost another pound from yesterday!! woop!!! im so excited just to be normal!! lets hope today goes smoothly.
and i found an awesome website...

a peice of my home made low cal cake :) -124
(which btw is actually a HUGE slice!!)
Mocha - 85
DAYS TOTAL!! - 910!!!
impressive, leaves room for another warm drink later on :)
happy times :)
and i assume this starts to get easier, i mean tbh right now ive had a few moments where i've panicked cause i dnt know what to eat cause i dont want to fuck up my day... but i assume you get adjusted and start to learn calories instead of having to check them all the time right??
and cravings go down yes??
i mean im going to keep going but its a lot of willpower haha
oh yea and as mentioned before another 1lb lost from yestedray!!!

thats already -5lbs scince i started on Tuesday (where i really fucked up as well)

and sorry for what you had to hear from your mother. It seems it's hard for your mother and grandma to admit they have a problem. You're stronger than they are. You're facing the problem and trying so hard to solve it. You must be so proud of yourself :) & thank you soooo much for the pics and the tips!! I <3ed them!!
My 2nd day wasn't good..! I binged.. and to be honest, I didn't count the Cals..! Not purging is not something I'm used to, but I'm sure I'll be. It is just a matter of time :)
I exercised: one hour on the treadmill (216 burnt)
did other workouts for my hands and thighs (I don't know the exact number I burnt.. maybe 100)
I know tomorrow is gonna be a better day :)

so its so hard to count cals at school, I did really well until dinner...I think I ate too much, I hope it was under 1400 cals for the day, gotta do better than that though, I did work out a shit ton today though so that should help. This eating normal thing...i don't like it, I am trying to go easy on myself and just relax but I feel panicked, is this normal?

so i lost the plot a little today, didn't binge but did endulge in some sugary things which has my cal count at 800 for today so far (5.15pm)
but ive chosen today as my "cheat day" mainly because my mother paid for this really expensive meal i apparently agreed to with her work colleagues.
so i figured well theres no way im gonna be able to figure out the cals.. i dont even know what she ordered me...
but a) i shouldnt have kept the rest of my intake down earlier to compensate,
however b) my cal intake for today was supposed to be near the 2000 mark anyway, but c) im stressing cause the idea of not knowing what im eating and the worry it could fuck up all my hard work so far...
ahhh i need some comfort anyone??

You will do fine, I know its an expensive meal but remember your health is priceless so whatever she ordered you, if it is pasta with a cream sauce or something dense looking, just eat half of it and take the rest home. Also, don't eat the bread if there is any and focus on the veggies provided. Also eat slowly and talk a lot. That always helps.

dinner: homemade pot pie with rice
beverages and such: two bottles of water and a cup of coffee
I may or may not drink tonight. We'll see. I know it's bad, but a girl has got to have some fun sometimes ;)

I used to react the same way after almost each argument I had with my mother.. but then I realized that I'll always have these stupid arguments and she will never change!! so, I changed myself and I changed the way I react after I have any argument with her.

How things are going so far?? btw, today is our 4th day.
My 1st day went the way I planned (1176.5).. 2nd & 3rd were horrible!! and today is amazing (1000) :)
and It'sn important to me to walk on the treadmill for at least 35 minutes and I do some workouts for my thighs and hands. I can't exercise more than that cuz I really have to concentrate on my exams!!

sorry i havent been here in a few days, i got kicked out on friday only just returned, no ones talking to me and i havent weighed myself. stayed with my friend who felt it was her and her familys duty to feed me. (lovely people tho. i adore them :) and her mum is THE best cook) so i did what i could...
im gonna go weigh myself now tho... its about 6pm bare in mind but all ive had today is a coffee and water so... done pretty well!!
i'm 176.5 lbs... considering my target was 179 i should be happy tho right?? but i just feel like i could have done so much better this weekend... plus i can't tell any difference yet, except when i was trying to get dressed friday, i look really out of proportion... don't know whether it was just a bad day (and we all know bad days lead to not looking as great even if you haven't changed...) cause i cant pinpoint any difference...
oh well we will see what next week brings. i have an exam wednesday, so alot of work to do, but will be counting calories again this week, and with no one talking to me at home, it should be easy to keep myself to myself and get on with things... hopefully...
so how has everyone been??

Don't worry about your weight and the calories you consumed. I know things are going to be better. and good luck with your exam (btw, I have an exam on wednesday too! so you're not alone).

well so far today (only quarter to 3pm) :
coffee x2 = 250
porridge = 140
and just juice and coke..
but there's lasagna for tea, got the recipe from a diet book but it doesnt tell you how many calories and i didnt make it personally and my grandma doesnt know exactly how much she put in it..
im guessing a serving 300 kcals? does that sound about right??
so total of 690 which leaves room for a hot chocolate later when the cravings arrive, not too bad!!
but ahh exams!! im stressing!! i cant do it!!!

what is the lowest number you allow yourself to consume/day ?? I feel like I want to eat less but I can't really trust myself.. It always starts that way and then I end up hating myself for eating 500 Cals!!!!
btw, I feel much better than before..!
now I eat 1000 Cals but I cut off all the carbs coming from rice/noodles/pasta/bread. Instead, I eat oats, whole grain cereals, raw nuts, lentils, vegetables and fruit. I'm also committed to my workouts, which is great :)

about 1000 for the day I would say.....horrible
Tomorrow will be better.
I also met with a counselor today, gah, I told her a little about my obsessive eating and I was shaking the whole time. She gave me a questionaire to fill out about it though however she said if I didn't want help with my eating that that was fine and we could focus on my anxiety which is good, and in a a way I am more determined to lose the weight because its embarrassing saying I have eating issues looking the way I am, so I don't want to have eating issues but I want to be skinny, idk if this makes sense, lol but I hope it does

I know exactly what you mean. I felt the same when I was heavier. The funny thing is.. I still feel the same!! it's clear to me now that it's not a real thing.. it's just the mechanism of the disease!
Please, love yourself no matter how much you weigh.. cuz you deserve that love :)
It's great that the counsellor is not annoying! focusing on your anxiety is a good thing.. good luck with it :)

Great :) probably won't get to post over the weekend as I'll be staying at my boyfriend's house and I wouldn't like him to see me posting somewhere like this . But first thing Monday I'll be back! Atm I'm aiming for around 1000 calories a day, going to try and start exercising too, probably just walking though because I hate exercise. Oh and I'm vegan

you may hate exercising now.. but after you see how fast it'll help you to reach your goal.. you may change your mind!!
now I consider myself a picky vegan! I had enough strength to cut off all the carbs coming from bread, rice, noodles, pasta, & potatoe! However, I kept oats, raw nuts, lentiles, and whole grain cereals.. and i don't mind drinking soups that contain carbs in them. It's working me..

the cronometer will help you count the Cals. you consume and show you the amount of proteins, carbs, fats.. etc you consume/day so that you have an idea about what you should increase and what you should decrease.

I went to a party and it was fine, had 2 beers but I was starving so we went for food and I was ok with it. I thought, "you have done so well, just enjoy the food" and of course I ate and knew Id have to purge afterwards, and I did and now my eyes are covered in red marks and my one eye hurts, I look like I have a disease, this has happened before which makes purging regularly impossible which is good. I think my friend thinks something is up though because she looked at me like I was lying about feeling sick, I actually did feel sick lol, gah anyways, horrible.

I thought, "you have done so well, just enjoy the food" and of course I ate and knew Id have to purge afterwards, and I did and now my eyes are covered in red marks and my one eye hurts, I look like I have a disease, this has happened before which makes purging regularly impossible which is good. I think my friend thinks something is up though because she looked at me like I was lying about feeling sick, I actually did feel sick lol, gah anyways, horrible.
Urgh I hate the drinksies munchies, I always budget for the calories in the actual alcohol but 9 times out of 10 the allure of the chipper is too strong for my drink addled little mind :mad: hope you're feeling better anyway.
My weekend was a fairly comprehensive disaster foodwise, well Friday and Sunday were okay but Saturday featured TWO restaurant meals and a lot of beer. I was out with friends I hadn't seen in months and didn't want to be too awkward, I managed to get rid of about half the first meal by giving it to someone and only got a starter at the second one but still, well over 2,000 calories that day and probably at least 1,500 the other two.
So far today I've had porridge made with soymilk, a spoon of peanutbutter and some raisins...I'm guessing 400ish calories? I have a jar of pickles downstairs, I'll have a couple of them later on and then maybe a cup of hot soya milk before bed, should have me around 800 cals I think.
Oh and I got to weigh myself at my boyfriend's house! 126 pounds...not bad, but could be a lot better, still nearly ten pounds to play with before I'd be even borderline underweight. I'm going to go work out some goals and times now.

haha, i ate and I wasn't drunk, I was just hungry, and I told myself it was OK! thats what blows the most, its weird because I have thrown up because of illness in the past and never had that type of reaction, I think it was the force of it, I wanted it gone fast, fastest purge ive ever had. I feel bad for lying though and am thinking about telling her my struggles...I am seeing a counselor so she can't really tell me what to do you know? But yes, i am sorry about your weekend, that blows, so much food, but today will be so much better, post your goals! We can help eachother, i'm nowhere near your stats but psh.

Goals added to sig :) wow you've lost 42lbs! Well done! I guess it's up to you whether or not to tell your friend and how much. In my experience though people's reactions can be way off what you'd think they'd be, not just at the time but afterwards. Personally I'd be very uncomfortable with anyone seeing any of my folders/lists of cals/thinspo etc because the one time I did mention something to someone in a fit of misplaced trust it genuinely did change the relationship for a long time :( you know your friend best though

Yeah 105 is a ridiculous weight, I don't think I'll ever get there, but it's nice to have something at the back of your mind so you don't get complacent I think. I'd be more than happy with 116, but I'm not sure I could even maintain that for long, it'd just be nice to try...I'm really not that thin anyway, UK size 10
Hmm yeah maybe if she understood better she'd be a bit more supportive! You know best yourself sure.

Couldn't be arsed opening that pickle jar, so had an apple (80) and 10 almonds (70) instead. So total of 550 so far today, I'll have a cup of warm soy milk before bed, about 700 for the day :)

Hi guys! I didn't post my calorie intake the last few days but my diet was going well. didn't exceed 1000 Cals.. I also exercised :)
However, my cousin told me that her wedding party is going to be on 16th of April and I'm kind of panicking..!! a part of me wants to remain healthy.. and another part wants to go on ABC diet for at least 18 days!! (I'm on a vacation for 18 days now.. that's why!).. so, what do you think guys? plzzzz help me decide :)

So far today, porridge (made with water) with 1sp of peanutbutter and a palmful of raisins-I think about 300? Going to have a sandwich now with hummus and veg-450ish? And then a cup of soymilk and an apple before bed. 1000 calories all together I think. Measured my waist this morning, 26.5 :)

Thanks :) calories went a bit out the window yesterday though, my boyfriend came over and I knew he was hungry but he was being polite and wouldn't eat unless I was cooking something anyway. So I made up some beans, fried onions, tomatoes and mushrooms-with toast and everything. Naturally I took the "girl" sized portion, still an easy 400 cals though. Grrr I should've skipped that sandwich when I knew he was coming over! Just an apple so far today

I have been doing well except for yesterday where I ate way to much cheese and crackers but I am doing better today. I locked my scale in the car so I don't know my weight is kinda scary but I have to gain control of that also. My friend wants me to go out tonight but I really don't need the calories but he is pressuring me so idk what to do. NO, YOU'RE NOT SELFISH. You did what responsible people do :) I try as much as I can not to come here when I feel so negative that I know I'll poison people's thoughts.. and when I feel too weak to protect myself from the negativity coming from other people.. ofcourse, I'm not perfect and I do make mistakes :o
I know how hard it is to be pressured to eat.. all I can say: NEVER NEVER NEVER binge forever just because you're already exceeding the limits of your daily Cals intake! BE FLEXIBLE to daily changes.. and remember: you do enjoy your time when you hangout with your boyfriend.. So eat.. but choose well and control the amount of what you eat.

If it's related to life.. all I can say THAT'S LIFE! Bad things always happen.. It's really unfair to stop our lives and forget our dreams and plans just because bad things are happening.. don't you think so?! Sometimes I feel like I'm done.. but whoever said life is easy?! Life= an every day fight! I know it sounds depressing.. but I keep saying this to get over difficulties!
and if it's related to your diet, there's always tomorrow, right? ;) when I was dieting before developing anorexia/bulimia, I lost a lot of weight, in a healthy way although I screwed up in some days and wasn't perfect at all. Don't let few days of (not dieting) make you feel like it's the end and that you'll never gonna make it because YOU WILL.. and believe me.. successful dieters are not those who restrict insanely.. they are not those who exercise compulsively.. they are not those who purge.. they are those who eat a healthy amount of food.. they are those who care about the quality of food more than the amount of it.. they are those who make mistakes because they are humans not aliens! and they are those who keep trying :)
and remember, dieting is not your life. You do have a life. You have a future to work on.. You love people who for sure love you. You're only dieting for your physical and mental health.. nothing alse! ;)

Hey, nice to have you here!
When I said healthy I meant healthy calorie intake (not less than 1000 Cals), however, I do cheat a lot :o not proud at all..! lol
I believe if you make sure to eat at least 2 different fruits, three different types of vegetables, one cup of skim milk/ soy milk even when mixed with coffee or chocolate.. and let the other calories come from other stuff, you'll do great :)
these are the healthy stuff I enjoy:
raw almonds,walnuts, pistachios,hazelnuts & roasted peanut.
oatmeal.
peanut butter.
cereals.
soy milk.
vegetables like: broccoli, cauliflower, courgette, cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, sweet pepper, celery, carrots, corn.
fruits like: strawberry, orange, apple, pomegranate, banana.
when I make a smoothie, I like to add one tbs of flaxseeds.
that's what I can remember now! :P
ofcourse, if you do eat meat, eat it grilled. I you drink milk, then let it be skimmed or at least low fat.. the same applies for cheese. I you tend to binge when you eat.. it's gonna be helpful for you to plan your meals one day earlier or you can plan your meals in your weekends. also, if you tend to think of food for 24/7 when you're dieting, it's gonna be helpful to plan to eat at specific times. EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE! 30-60 minutes of walking/day will have an amazing effect on your body.. what else?! well that's what i can remember right now.. Sorry

well after a horrid binge week I am ok, purged twice, yikes. Lent: I am giving up candy, somehow I have formed an addiction to it, weird. I am also committing to workout 3-4 times a week. I am not going to give up a whole list of things because I'll feel worse if I fail. Its like I use lent to get me back on track, but I need to learn moderation and not elimination from my diet and learn to deal with temptation.

starting from tomorrow (18th of feb) I'll post my calorie intake and I'll also mention what I exactly ate.. that will help me focus on the quality of food I consume and I'm also not willing to consume less than 700-800 Calories/day(it's not right to follow abc or 2468 diet while this thread is called "our HEALTHY diet diary") lol
Although I used to be vegan for so long, I decided to switch to lacto-ovo vegetarian. I'm worried about my daily protein intake and I'm too busy to prepare vagan recipes with high protein amounts (uni life is so stressfurl), So, I'll simply eat egg whites, yogurt and drink milk. However, I'm not going to eat anything that contain animal products (ie, I eat egg whites and drink milk, but will never ever eat cake.. or chocolate..etc)

I made a commitment Monday to take control, and so far so good. I have not binged or purged all week. I have been eating close to 1000 calories each day and I have been exercising.
Monday starting weight: 119
Current weight: 116.4

I've been doing only meat and eggs in order to have close to no carbs. In the past I have been able to drop pounds quickly doing this.
I did NOT binge. I did not think about bingeing. Well, yes I did think a little about it while I was at the grocery store but I did not buy anything to binge on.

Is delicious! I use a store bought brand so I can count the calories better (I use a low fat one as well, as tahini is quite high in it), but home made is nicer I think.
Oh, my resolution to not eat stoned didn't quite work out, ate about another 600 cals (:eek:), so about 1250 for the day :( not great, but not terrible.

My weight is the same today as yesterday. I expected at least a small drop. My tummy feels bloated like it is sticking out like a big blob of fat.
I guess I need to eat fewer calories today. But since I am not anorexic, it is hard for me to reduce calories too low as it will trigger a binge. I do NOT want to binge and purge. I just want the scale to drop. :(

Mmm, restricting too much never goes too well for me. I just end up rebelling against myself lol. A lot of it is mental though, I find it easy to eat very little as long as I tell myself I can eat whatever I want. I guess I just don't like being told what to do :D
Is it not a thing with those low carb diets that you can not lose any weight for a few days and then it starts dropping off like mad? I don't know though, I've never done them.
I'm off to the library now, going to have some toast and hummus first cos my tummies rumbling. I'll stay in for three hours, then home, have a joint, and go for a walk with my mp3 player

It's 10 pm now and I only had 441.5 so far :D I know I'm going to sleep at 12 (I'm exhausted right now but have to do some work).. so basically my day was PERFECT so far.. I'll eat something but I'm sure I'll have no time and no enough energy to exceed 800-900 Cals! :D
That's what I had so far:
1 boiled egg (whole= 77Cals) and 1 boiled egg white (17 Cals)
2 slices of multigrain toast (180 Cals)
sweetened skim coffee late ( 167.5 Cals)
I didn't exercise but did a lot of work!!

Stay away from too low calorie intake.. Even if you have the strongest will ever, you're gonna end up binging on almost everything (even food you don't like!).
maybe it's all water weight?! If you're a female, are you about having your period?! what about your diet?! do you eat too much salt?! Many factors affect the numbers we see on the scale.. but this doesn't mean we're not losing :) try to weigh yourself once a week instead of everyday.. that way you'll be stronger while dieting anddd the numbers you see won't be depressing!

Luckily I've never gotten into the habit of purging. Everyone who is seems to give the same advice of "not even once" so I guess I should listen. Of course there is the fact that when I feel bad-which can include after a binge-I tend to cut myself, so don't congratulate me too much :P
Anyways, I had a pot noodle (377 calories of pure MSG) earlier instead of that toast and hummus, so I'll go have it now instead. That puts me up around 850 for the day, I'm going to go to bed soon, went to bed at 4.30 last night and got up at 8, so I'm tired

Oh, Lord have mercy... I know that is the TRUTH! I cannot let that happen.
But I just screwed up today anyway by getting into a bag of walnuts which are extremely high calorie. I bet it was over 700 calories. :eek:
Normally I would have binged and purged after such a screw up, but I'm at my office so I cannot do that (which is a good thing!). I'll just have to let it go and get back on track from here on out.
I did run 4.5 miles today, maybe that will help.

850/day is really good.. It's actually perfect :) You must be exhausted now.. Have sweet dreams ;)
btw, something I didn't expect at all happened.. My cousins had a quick visit to have a quick dinner with me! In addition to the 441.5 Cals that I've already eaten, I ate more 665.8 Cals.. So total= 1107.3 Cals. Luckily, I'm still doing good! :) and to be fair and honest, I enjoyed each minute and each bite I had with my cousins ;)

I'm glad you didn't purge.. once you purge, you're gonna screw up everyday cuz you know how to fix your binge.. and then you're gonna be trapped in that hellish cycle of b/p.. and instead of losing weight, you're gonna end up gaining weight and having weired puffy cheeks.. you definitely don't want that.. (I just described myself.. lol)

I do not think I have ever before stopped a binge urge without bingeing. I wonder if I should keep drinking this fiber during the day to make me feel full.

and about the fiber, I only get fibers from fruit and vegetables.. never tried the fiber you mentioned, but if it does work for you then why not ?(and fibers can't be harmful.. the worst they cause is diarrhea..lol)..! but I personally think that eating something (even if its a baby carrot).. biting it.. chewing it.. and then swallowing it.. will definitely have a better effect on bingy moods than a fiber drink. Eating fools the brain.. but drinking doesn't always fool the brain.. (that's what I noticed on me)
I'm a huge fan of steamed vegetables.. a huge amount contains like 150-200 cals and they are definitely so filling :)

For exercise, I swam 2450 yards (1.4 miles) this morning. Will hopefully do bike this evening.

Today (19th Feb), I had 1195 Cals although I wished I could only eat 750-850. However, I'm not shocked at all.. I crave food like crazy during my periods:o andddd 1195 is not higher than 1200.. So, I'm happy :) and this is btw my 2nd b/p free day :)

It's 7.30pm here, I only got up at 3 :D so far two bags of popcorn for breakfast coz I was feeling lazy-280. The boyfriend is on his way over now, so there'll be the usual song and dance over having to cook a big man dinner for him (rather than just having a sandwich or soup or a pot noodle like usual) and then having to eat little girl portions without him noticing too much. I haven't seen him since Sunday though so I'm sure I'll, ahem, burn some calories off later ;)
I mightn't be here for a couple days though, seeing as he'll be around pretty much constantly. Hope everyone keeps doing well and has a fun weekend xxx

No binge purge urges today (day 6!). I took some of that fiber powder again today at work and also when I got home. It really does make me feel fuller. Just chewing something doesn't work for me; I have a need to feel that fullness in my stomach. Funny thing is that the fiber has not caused any bathroom issues; I've not even had a bowel movement since I've taken it.
I feel full from my soup so I think I'll be ok the rest of the evening. I'm crossing my fingers for the scale to stay the same or drop again tomorrow!

I binged today! almost 2000 Cals without purging.. I couldn't control my urge to binge.. So, I tried to control the quality of what I binged on.. Most of the calories came from vegetables and fruit (can you imagine the huge amount of veggies I ate!! def. gonna have diarrhea soon! :o)

If I binge I always end up purging, so I have to work real hard at preventing a binge in the first place. Don't be too hard on yourself, it's only one day. You can get back on track. {{{Hugs}}}
I've already consumed 877 calories today and my BF wants to come for dinner. I don't know what to do. I guess I'll fix chicken and a vegetable, then try not to eat very much of it.
My weight as 114.6, so it is up .6 from yesterday.
I ran 6.5 miles today.

stuffed:depending on what you cook you could probably eat a reasonable sized dinner for 400 cals, so you'd only be on 1287 for the day, which is nothing really when combined with running all that distance!
My boyfriend's gone off drinking with his friends, I can't go because I've a funeral to go to tomorrow :( still, spose it saves me a good few empty alcohol calories.
Had breakfast today-bout half a tin of beans (140) mushrooms (42), a grilled tomato (60 ish? not sure), and two slices of toast (200), tea with soy milk (10) and two packs of skittles (440 :mad:) 892 for the day. Stupid skittles, don't know why I even had them.

Hi bella! Welcome! I think the losertown calculator works reasonably well up to a certain point, but obviously anything that tells you you'll eventually weigh 0lbs isn't great. I think fitday.com gives you a similar but more reliable service, you have to sign up but it's worth it, plus you can log your calories.

Thanks, I currently use sparkpeople but it wont let you lose more than 2lbs per week. It helps with logging my food too and its free. I used to be a member on fitday when it was free, I didn't know you have to pay now.
I'll see how this goes. I am so desperate to lose a lot of weight and fit into my clothes. I spend all day thinking about food - what to eat or not etc. It's so frustrating, I just want to reach my goal already then just live life.

Weekends are so hard. I do much better during the week when I have such busy days. I did not weigh today, but I will in the morning and see how much damage I've done over the weekend. I ate more than I planned last night when BF was here and also drank a lot of wine.
Ah well... I'll try to do good the rest of today then get back on track tomorrow.
Also, my knee is injured, so I cannot do as much running as I usually do. Quite depressing.

I weighed in this morning and I am shocked I am 148.2. I though I binged quite a bit last week and was assuming I would be 150.
It's 4pm here and I have had 511 calories already. I am so stuffed. If I get hungry I still have a juice, cereal bar and piece of fruit to take it to 650 but will try to just drink water.
I'm really looking foward to the rest of the week. I can't wait to weigh in next sunday.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. We can definitely do this.

Try not to worry too much about it (I totally understand it's not that easy).. Your good days were more than your bad days during this week, so hopefully you won't be disappointed tomorrow.. buttttt if I were you, I'd weigh myself next Monday.. idk exactly why!! but I noticed that when I don't weigh myself, I become stronger! So, think about it.. it may work for you too ;) and remember, tomorrow is a new day :)

Today (21th,Feb), I consumed 1110 Cals, which sounds good, esp. when compared to the 2000 Cals I ate yesterday! butttttt I'm so mad at myself atm because 340 Calories of the 1110 I consumed, came from fruit gums ( I ate 2 tubes/170 Cals each)!! Arrrgh
But in general, it was a good day! :p Ofcourse, I exercised :)

I did good ALL week last week and then had a really bad day yesterday with not one but two B/Ps. Even had some blood the second time. :(
Trying to get back on track today, but I've already eaten all of my calories and it is still early. I'll try to get by with just a light soup later today.
I AM going to get a grip and have a good week, and that's that.
I think I'll make the cabbage soup recipe tonight when I get home tonight.

Another BP last night. :( I think I have undone all of my good work from last week.
Today, so far so good. Back at work which keeps me on track throughout the day. I just need to be strong when I get home. Maybe I will go to Yoga class tonight, that will keep me from being tempted to binge.
I've had eggs, spinach, and tuna salad thus far today.
And I made the cabbage soup recipe to help get me through this week.

I've been doing okay, had to go to a funeral on Sunday which (as Irish funerals tend to do) ended up involving a lot of alcohol, but today and yesterday I came in under 800 cals, my appetite always dies on the first couple days of my period. Not particularly healthy food though

If I get to the point of wanting to purge, I always have a full blown binge first. I guess it is a matter of making it worth my while to purge. But hang in there, we can beat this!!!
I did good yesterday with 866 calories, but my weight was way back up after having those couple of days of BP. Nothing to be done about that but to move forward.
Exercise yesterday:
Upper body dumbbells and abs (30 min)
Yoga class (60 min)
Today:
Swam 2800 yards (1:15)
If my knee is agreeable, I may do a spin class tonight after work.
I had a minor victory last night. Was nearly bed time when the jar of all natural peanut butter entered my mind. I spoke out loud to myself and said "DO NOT DO IT, you KNOW you will eat half the jar or more if you start now." Next thing I knew I was in the kitchen thinking, I just want to smell it then I will put it back away. Once the jar was open, since it is natural peanut butter it needed stirred. So I thought, I am just going to stir it up then I will put it away. You can see this is a very slippery slope for me... lol. So I stir it and then I think, well I can lick the spoon just once if I don't leave a lot on the spoon. (Here we go) So I scrape the spoon mostly off and then lick the rest of which was VERY little. The I thought, maybe just one more small spoonful. And so it begins. Or does it? SOMEHOW... I did NOT go for another taste. SOMEHOW, I put that jar away. This is a major accomplishment for me, because I typically have no control once I get tot his point. I was proud of myself. :D

I'm so proud of you stuffed ;) and really happy you gained some control over your ED! What you did in the kitchen is not a minor victory! IT'S A MAJOR VICTORY! :) and you've got to believe me when I say that! Remember, we're in the same boat!
and to answer your question: all I had was 700 Cals and I couldn't stop myself from purging!! the same happened yesterday (I had a problem with my internet connection, that's why I didn't post my intake!). I don't understand myself anymore.. I used to purge to make up for my binges, but now, I can't stop purging even when I eat too little and exercise like hell! I have no idea how to stop this time.. I hope things get better after a while. It's 5pm now and I had 474 cals so far and I didn't purge anything. I'll consider this as a good sign :)

Shadow - Sorry to hear your ED is taking a new direction. But, glad you're holding down your 474 for the day. Are you eating good quality calories.... lean meats, fruit, veggies? I'm usually less likely to purge so long as I've only had healthy foods.
I felt bad when you mentioned my victory, because I caved once again last night and BPed. This ED is SUCH a roller coaster of triumphs and failures. I can pretty much pinpoint my danger zone as being between 7 and 8 p.m. on weekdays. If there is some way I can simply forbid myself from eating anything during that time frame, or anything after 6:30 pm. I wonder if I had a pic or a thinspiration or something on my frige if that would help. Also, I seem to have a need for that feeling of fullness in my belly, so I should down some water when I get home and then top it off with a low cal smoothie or huge amount of low cal soup.
Are you able to pinpoint a certain time of day or certain foods or feelings that trigger a binge? Do you have any quotes or pics posted in your kitchen as reminders?

It's really saddening how we're controlled by our EDs :( I'm really sorry you binged and purged yesterday.. Please don't be embarresed or ashamed of yourself.. I know it has nothing to do with will power and intelligence.. Having bulimia is like living with a monster at the same place and there's no way to hide yourself or run away! I really hope things get better for you.. "HUGS"
What I know about my bulimia is that it's triggered by stress, sad events and each time I feel bad for not being able to speak up for myself! I also I had a hard time eating without binging each time I ate after 8pm... hmmm what else?! that's what I can remember atm.. and I don't have any thinspo quotes to use.. I just repeat saying " I can do it.. I know I can do it" or "I'm strong" and it works sometimes. However, now, I have no idea how to stop purging :confused: I don't binge anymore and I eat healthy food most of the time.. isn't that supposed to be good enough to stop it.. idk! This may sound strange to you.. I'm fed up this time.. really fed up.. and I feel like I lost my patience this time! I'm still not brave enough to go and ask my family for halp, buttttt I wish I get cought while I'm purging! I hide it very well but I hope someone discovers the cycle of hell I'm trapped in and stop me! weired, isn't it? :/

Sorry ye're having such a rough time with purging, and hope everyone's been doing okay today! Ye've both done so well and been so inspirational in the past, I know ye can get past it and I'm happy ye have each other for support and understanding.
Counsellor went okay today, I was exhausted (haven't been able to sleep recently) so as soon as I got in there I pretty much started crying. I've been finding it really difficult to manage my self harm and I just felt pathetic. Ended up getting a prescription for anti-depressants, not sure if I'll fill it yet though.
Ok, have to run, but love to all xxx

Ah Shadowgirl. I know, I'm fed up too. Purging hurts. And yes, I BPed once again last night. I KNEW I should not do it because I've drawn blood from my throat the past few times and yet again last night.
Perhaps you should ask for help. A lot of people on here go to counseling. Maybe a counselor could help you deal with stress and become more comfortable speaking up for yourself, and that in turn would help with the purging. Do you live with your parents? How do you spend the day, do you work or go to school? I just wondered if you have soemthing that takes your mind off of dealing with this ED. I don't think about it much when I am at work during the day. It's only hard when I am home. I live alone, so there is no one to watch me.
I think I can get past this if I could just drop a few more pounds. I did really good maintaining a healthy weight last year between 110 and 112; but I gained weight after the holidays and can't seem to get back down. I was 115.6 today so I'm not all that far. I would rather get beween 105 and 109, but I think I could get past the "fat" feeling if I could just get to 112.
iliketurtles - Oh my... so much alcohol! I hope you feel ok today. I just noticed we have about the same weight goals, except that you are taller than me so you'll look more slender! I don't know much about self harm, how often do you do that? Those doctors always want to give anti-depressants. I guess you should at least give it a try. I have a friend who took them and she said they worked for her, so maybe they will help.
Well I have to get ready for work. And here we are approaching the weekend again. I better go to the store and buy only healthy foods and prepare a few things to get me through the weekend. I do NOT want to purge anymore with my throat so raw and I do not want to mess up my weight loss. I am SO tired of being over 112 right now.

I don't know if that's going to make you feel better.. but think about it this way: 2500 Cals are not even a pound.. You definitely can make up for that binge in a very short period of time! :) and.. Hey stuffed.. I have some good news (finally)! I didn't purge yesterday :) I added 280 Cals to the 474 I already consumed and didn't purge anything.. YAY
I also didn't purge today (so far!) but I'm optimistic! it's 8:19 pm now, I consumed almost 1000 Cals so far, and I'm exhasuted right now.. I don't think I'm physically able to eat or purge, which is a great thing. I really missed those clean days :rolleyes:
I live with my parents and I'm a uni student. I study nurcing (I'm a hypocrite:o), which is a very demanding field yet not taking my mind off my ED :/
btw, EDs are not so common where I live. This is putting me under extreme pressure! add to that the fact that I'm studying nurcing + I'm convinced my family members will cause more harm han help! + atm, I can't afford counseling myself, so I have to tell them and I def. don't want to!, but next year I'll be able to afford it and hopefully I'll seek help.
I hope you reach your goal weight soon. I know you can do it and I really really really hope you gain some control over your ED. Bleeding from your throat is not a good sign. Maybe try to exercise more instead of inducing vomiting?! so that your throat can heal. I wish you get better soon :)

Oh... so glad you did not purge! I can certainly understand feeling your family would cause more harm than good. It is a tough decision, because it is irreversable. Once they know, you can never take it back. Personally, I have never told anyone and I never will, ever. That's why I come here; you all are the only ones I can talk to about this!
As far as my throat bleeding, it is because I use the bristle end of a toothbrush. If I could use just fingers, it would not be so bad. Or not do it at all!!!
I feel pretty good today. My knee feels better so I was able to get in a 3 mile run. I hope to ride my bike this evening. That will keep me away from the kitchen!
I'm going to make a sign to put on my frige.... some sort of a warning sign.
Let's stay strong through the weekend!!!

Me too! This site is such a relief for me. Before I came here, my thoughts were prisoned in my head.. that drove me crazy, really! I"ll always be a good listener to you :) and hope that makes you feel better..

I didn't expect to say that before, but I really have to stop losing weight. I exercise like hell, so I'm going to reduce my activity level (I'm not ready at all atm to increase my calorie intake). I study nurcing, and my clinical instructor is not happy at all about my weight. He faced me before, but I denied. At that time, I wasn't weighing myself and I though I was 11 lbs heavier than I really was! I have to stop losing weight to avoid facing my CI again!
Butttt guys, I'll always support you ;) I'll also come here every day and I'll post my intake like always :)

hey guys, i've been gone i know, I was trying to pick myself up and am doing pretty well...sorry for not being on though! This site affects my mood but I will def check up on you guys, i love you girls, you were there for me from the beginning and I won't forget that. I have lost about 4 more pounds so yay! hahaha

I didn't exceed 800 Cals yesterday and also today. All the cals came from healthy sources: oatmeal, boiled egg whites, skim milk, fat free yogurt, raw nuts, whole grain cereals..
However, I purged yesterday but didn't today!

Well, I exceeded 800 Cals! :o
My friends made me eat so much..! but I love them.. and I don't regret it. At least, I enjoyed my time :)
So, my total calorie intake for today is 1368 :o

Shadowgirl - It will do you good to have a higher calorie intake every once inawhile. You probably needed that 1368 calories.
I haven't been keeping track through the weekend. I stayed clean Friday but BPd early Saturday, which is unusual since I typically BP in the evening. Did not BP yesterday, but I ate a lot of calories (didn't count).
I'm getting in my exercise.
Friday night 1 hr 23 min on bike trainer.
Saturday ran 10 miles.
Sunday biked 40 miles.
Getting ready to leave for my morning swim right now.

OMG..! :eek: I'm in tears now!! :(
I visited my sister today at 8:30 pm. My sister is one of those people who enjoy feeding others..! From 6 am to 8:30 pm, I consumed 390 Cals.. and from 8:30 pm to 12 am (the time I spent in my sister's house) I consumed almost 1000-1200 Cals!! Why there isn't an undo button in life??????? Grrrrrrrrr

Oh no! Social functions are always the hardest time. Loved ones expect you to eat and if you don't, it seems ungrateful. Especially if they made something special to offer you... it is so hard to refuse. But you did not say that you purged, so that is good!
Try not to be so upset with yourself. This ED stuff is always a roller coaster of successes AND failures. All you can do is pick yourself back up and try again to stay on track. {{{{Hug}}}}
I had another binge/purge last night. I can't even remember what started it now... might have been walnuts. Once again I had a bit of blood from my throat.
But today was a GOOD day. I ate pretty healthy and I have not binged, although I must admit that the thought is in my head right now. But I'm going to go to bed. I truly have nothing in the house to binge on anyway, so that helps.
I ran 6 miles this morning and did some core exercises this evening.
Tomorrow is a new day.... let's stay strong!!!

Hey guys! I am doing pretty good. Eating a healthy calorie amount. The scale isn't moving though so I need to figure that out. It feels weird but I know it will be good in the long wrong...I hope. And thanks for reminding me about sparkpeople shadow...it's awesome!

I need to stay away from this site for a week or so. I'm losing my control over my ED and I know I'm not encouraging you or anyone here because of my negativity. I need to hold myself together and then I'll come back to join you again. I'll probably come back on Sun. 14th of March.
