So on 5/09 I had my weight and height taken when I was being tested for an iron defeciency (not because of an ED or anything but because I'd been a vegetarian for a few months) I weighed in at 7st 3 and height 5ft2. I was 14 at this time and my weight didn't matter to me at all.
But now I'm 15 and weight obsessed and I assumed I was now 5ft4ish since that's what my friend said she was and were the same height. And so last night I decided to check my height and found out that I was actually 5ft2... Still. I'm so fucking angry because this makes my bmi higher and basically changes everything. I'm so upset. It's been like 8 months and I haven't grown an inch. I weigh 7st3 now and I am happy that I've been able to get back to the weight I was 8 months ago but still... I'm fatter than I thought I was.
Sorry for the rant but I'm so fucking pissed off.

Ps just tested my bmi on this teenage bmi calculation site. Pretty depressing to know that even if I lose 13 pounds (that's a weight of 90 pounds!!!) I'll still be at a 'healthy weight' in the 9th percentile for a 15 year old girl.

Vegetarianism can contribute to stunted growth rates. Have you considered having some chicken every day?

no, just make sure you're eating wholesome foods and getting some protein. you'll be fine as a vegetarian... but not as an anorexic.

careful.

It can also save the world :D

LOL seriously though, as with any type of diet, if you're getting your nutrients & calories, you should be fine. A diet deficient in vitamins, minerals and calories can stunt your growth...and as someone who is dieting, you may be lacking in those areas. I haven't grown at all since my first bout of anorexia at 15, and my sisters and parents are both taller than me. If you're concerned about reaching your full height, restricting calories is not the way to go!

BMI is definately not the most accurate measurement you can do. Try taking physical measurements, and work out your body fat percentage.

Ahahahahaha this is really misguided I'm sorry, but the stigma around vegetarianism/veganism drives me mental
