normally i burn 800-1,000 calories in a day exercising
(my net calorie intake is negative)
but lately i have just been so tired because of insomnia,
i have only been managing 600-800 calories burned exercising per day.

i read that 2,000-3,000 a week is suppose to be
a maximum range for most people,
but i burn upwards of 5,200 - 5,500 in a week.
apparently once you go over the "healthy" maximum range,
you increase your risk of a heart attack..?
but i've also read there is no such thing as too much exercise.
i still don't feel like i do enough..

anyway i'm just curious. thanks

there's no such thing as too much as long as you don't feel faint or start getting sports injuries. when i was on my school's competitive team i exercised (both sprints and long distance) for 4 hours on 4 days per week, and did weights plus cardio on treadmill for the remaining 3 days (1 hr spent at the gym each time.) i was fuelling myself appropriately though (- right amount of calories to prevent weight loss).

Ugh - I haven't been able to exercise for about a month. I fell and banged myself up pretty bad (broken ribs, collar bone blah blah blah), and since feeling better from that I've gotten a horrible cold - first in my chest then in my head. I'm feeling better today, so hoping to get through the weekend and get back to my routine which is:

Yoga (30 mins to 1 hour) Tuesday and Thursday
Glider (like a tread mill that works your arms too) Wednesday, and Friday at least an hour - I put it in front of the TV and work it during commercials.

On Mondays I uber clean my house - and believe me - it's a workout!
