One thing I miss that has too many calories is having the kind of drinks you only have one of... alcoholic cocktails and such. The other day I was craving something my friend used to make with various kinds of alcohol that tasted something like khalua or bailey's I guess. To mimick this without getting fat...
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk - 20c (or 40 for skim milk)
1 tsp low-fat cocoa powder - 10c
2 sweetener tablets (though I'd probably use only 1 for splenda packets, depends on your sweet tooth)
1 tsp artificial rum extract
1 tsp artificial vanilla extract (the one I have is 7c)
for best results, put cocoa powder, sweetener and extracts in your cup & swirl it around until it's as smooth as you can get it. If you need to, use a stir stick or a spoon to make sure there are no lumps from the cocoa powder. Then pour the almond milk in a little bit at a time so it mixes nicely.
Drop in a couple ice cubes and enjoy.
I mean, yeah, it lacks that nice little warm feeling that the alcohol usually supplies. But then, this is less than 40cals.
