Dad just came to me and told me we're having Burger King for dinner...
He's been working on my new bedroom.. And he finishes late, so there's no time to make dinner... Last night we had fish n chips and I had the food with the least cals, chicken nuggets...
But what to I do at burger king??!?
Does anyone know what I can get that has really low calories and isn't a salad?!
HELP!!!

Burger King has grilled ckicken sandwhiches. Or you can get the burger shots (tiny burgers) and just eat 4 of them and save the rest for later.

I quickly looked up online what I should get. And the thing with the least cals was a hamburger. We don't have burger shots here in nz. And the grilled chicken sandwiches are burgers here. I looked up the cals for those, and they were heaps more than the hamburger.
I feel gross as. I'm gonna have to have a set meal that I get from places like that if I have to.. My parents will think somethings up if I don't get it cos I have NEVER turned down BK or McD's. Even if I was sick..
Eughhhh.......

Tell them you really really don't feel well and tell them you just want to stay home and sleep. They can't make you do anything you don't want to do (:

My dad just goes out and buys it and brings it back here.
I could do that, just scale it down..
Cos my mum would keep an eye on me if I said I wasn't feeling well. And if the next day I had forgotten and was suddenly well, she'd ask what?!
But yeah.... Next time I might encourage a cooked meal... Though to be honest. Getting it take away is kinda easier.. Like, to count calories. Because I have no idea how many calories are in mashed potato once dad has added some onion, cheese and salt.. And he cooks meat with wine sometimes, which is hard to add up (one reason I was a vegetarian). And certain sauces he might use.. It's tough..
But yeah..

I know it's now hours since you ate your dinner, I just wanted to suggest something.
There's a book I got by Dave Zincenko called Eat This Not That, and it goes through all the restaurants and tells you what the best thing to eat there is. For Burger King it is the Whopper Jr. no mayo, skip the fries. If they have the apple fries (that you can get with the kids meal) get those. It's a pretty fabulous book, I keep it in my ginormous purse for when I'm out with friends. Salads are almost always bad, and shakes are the devil.
I think there is a website, too, if you can't get the book. The Calorie King also has stats for restaurants, but Eat This Not That is better because it just tells you which is the best and which is the worst for every major restaurant chain. It has grocery store tips too.
It's so hard when you live with people who don't care about their weight! It was like that with both of my last relationships, skinny men who ate whatever! Yeah, I'm single now.

for future ref. you could always check in with your parents and try to show initiative in wanting to cook. then if they do need you to cook (as in tonights dinner) you could make the family a good low cal meal. That is how i make it through at home. Both parents work in the day so i make dinner.

What sufficiently took care of me ever having to eat fast food, ever ever ever... was actually pretty simple. I started off with "greasy things bother my ulcer" (which is true) and then just said that once I hadn't had fast food for awhile, I couldn't stomach at anymore. Fast food grosses me out.
& No one thinks it's unusual, really. If you want to be intense about it, just look up some facts online and start ranting about genetically modified whatever & not knowing who's cooked your food, etc.
