Hi Guys,

I am in the same situation like most of you, also bulimic, also desperate to break off this habbit ...

I have been suffering from mia for a few years now and I really really want to get over it. Of course I also want to stay slim and beautiful just without the puffy cheeks and puffy eyes and other horrible consequences of mia. I have been to a hypnotherapist for two sessions recently and it really helped. Now I listen to self-hypnosis CD's that teach you to overcome mia and they really help! I am much calmer and worry less, but there are days when I feel a bit down. They say that it takes 14 days to overcome a habbit. I have not been able to get passed this period yet at this moment. I used to be much better, sometimes much worse. I think that now I am just tired of fighting and getting back into it.

I would like to find someone to talk to about these situations, when I am not feeling well, when I am scared etc. I really really want this to stop it and I am sure I can ... It would help if I could have somone to talk to, listen to, chat with and gossip, someone in the same situation ... who also needs someone to talk to ....

So let me know! Looking forward to the chat!

Micha

Hi Micha! Ive had Bulimia for a little over a year now; had no intention of giving up at first but its been so bad recently its affected every aspect of my life. Its amazing that you're seeking help and is probably the hardest step. I've been to the doctor etc. and hope to receive some kind of counselling to beat this once and for all. I've also been looking for someoen to chat to about the ups and downs of this horrible disease. Nice to know that none of us are alone in this!

hey, ima guy, and no im not gay, i found this site from a friend of mine, and her and i have been wondering... why?

i mean, whats the point? you girls are unbelievably pretty, why change that by eating then throwin in all up, i mean as a guy, i find that quite distastful, and for people to actually have a forum on this... its even more disgusting... please, for the love of god, stop trying to vomit to make yourself look better, you girls look great, you girls have a great personality, im 17 right now, and i know that all girls are beautiful, and if a guy doesn't fall for you... then it is their loss... but for your own health stop trying to be bulimic, it's terrible for your esophagus, and its terrible for your stomach, it's proven that you can get stomach ulcers in your stomach, it's so painful its not even funny...

any man would think that what you girls are doing is wrong, and any man who thinks that what you are doing is good, and that you should change in that way... isn't a man... he isn't worthy of you, he isn't worth the time, if he loves you, then he wouldn't want you to change in anyways - shape - or form...

Hi Jared,

U obviously need to better research the disorder before u try to give advice. It is a mental disorder, as u can see the majority of us want it to stop. It is torture to live w bulimia for as long as i have. And its not about men or trying to impress anyone. And just for ur info were not all girls, 10% of bulimics are male. So the point is that we dont do this to lose weight, its a nice bonus, but we do it because the feeling of food and the thought of food in our stomachs is absolutely frightening to us. If u want a better detailed explaination of this, plz read the post i just made under Curious.

Hi Micha,

im glad ur getting help, and i dont want to disappoint u, but nothing is going to fix u in 14 days. I have been in therapy for 2 years and I still binge and purge. Its a life long battle, but i believe were all strong enough to learn ways to combat the thoughts and compulsions. Good luck.
