Haven't been on in a while; forgot my password. Promise I'm not a total newb and starting threads willynilly.

I was just wondering if there are any other models on here?

I'm 20/f/nyc, and I model. My current weight is ***edit**, 5'1", measurements ***edit**. ModelMayhem profile can be found here: ***edit***
The reason I bring this up is because I was recently at a photoshoot with some other models, and they were of course fashion models, so tall and skinny they were. (I'm not a fashion model. I model nude/alternative. If you look at the portfolio you'll get the idea.)

The photographer orders two pizzas for this massive test shoot, so everyone can munch while they were getting made up and stuff. Of course, I'm thinking, "ETo view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts." and I didn't touch the stuff, but every other model there had at least one slice. Most had two.

Can you say DISGUSTING? I mean, they can't ALL be bulimic, so how unfair is it that they can live with themselves eating slabs of fat and grease, and bloating themselves up right before getting in front of the camera?

Maybe it's just me, but when I'm doing shoots on a regular basis my anorexia goes into high gear. Normally my restriction is ***edit***cals a day, but when I'm modeling I don't eat more than ***edit***cals a day, and ***edit***before a shoot.

Okay so I feel the pain. I'm an actress and I am 5'2" or 5'3" and I'm at a gross ***edit***. When I'm on set there is always this whole room or trailer that has any drink and snake you could want!! I watch this freaking ***edit***lbs girls eat what ever the heck they want all day long and not gain a pound!!!! I don't get it!!! How did you get into modeling? That has always been something I've wanted to do but since I'm so short I always figured it was out of the question for me.

im an international model and have been around sooooooo many other models. the one thing that really annoys me is that whatever shoot you go on, the people in charge always seem to order the worst food and drink possible, like pop, cookies, miffins, cakes, and yes clasically the pizza!!
personally i have to stay on a very low calorie diet to stay thin, and i will always bring my own snacks, like carrots, cellery, etc.

u need to remember this though, no most of the models i have met have not been bulimic, but are very strict on their diet. and now and again they will indulge just to look normal, but trust me they wake up the next day streight back to there normal ruseme.

Obviously since short people like us will never make it to the runway, our choices are limited. However, it's really easy to find jobs in alternative or fashion catalog modeling. Try modelmayhem.com and start yourself up with a few photos and shoutouts, and photographers will find you freelance.
