My band director was telling us about how he tried to develop OCD.... really...:hopelessness:

How stupid can you get?:confusion: Seriously... who would try to DEVELOP something with the word disorder in it. How retarded are you? :disgust:

That's like trying to DEVELOP anorexia(wannarexia:disgust:) or something like that.

What are your thoughts on this?

I think people see OCD as a cute little personality quirk that makes you more interesting, mostly thanks to it entering daily vocabulary in the form of a verb.

Weird habits do not "make you OCD." Liking cleanliness does not "make you OCD." Being anal retentive does not "make you OCD." People say everything is OCD. But it's not a verb, and while it's nothing particularly shameful, it's definitely not something to be proud of, or something that people who genuinely have it like to wear on their sleeve.
