I weighed myself today, and have not lost a single damn pound, even though I've shrunk several inches from my waist line. How does that happen? I decrease my volume without a decrease in mass? That's physically impossible!

Maybe the scales happened to be broken in exactly the right way to show 10 extra pounds than actual weight?

Have you been exercising consistently lately?

If so, it's possible that you've put on weight from muscle mass, but lost the inches that come from excess fat hanging off of your body.

This is probably what you're experiencing and if that's the case, great! This is an ideal situation. You're toning up and losing the fat instead of both fat and muscle mass which can lead to a slower metabolism and a tendency to hang on to excess fat.

I've been exersizing for 15 years, at least an hour per day 6 days a week. Don't know why I'd be suddenly gaining so much muscle now. I don't really feel any stronger.
