i just recently got put on zoloft for a panic attack that wouldnt stop. i really dont like that idea on being on any type of meds.. it makes me feel like im crazy, or pill dependant. id like to think that i can live without being drugged.

sigh.

I was on that for a little while. Holy cow, I did not get any sleep! I think the dose was too high. I hated it...I had so many fleeting thoughts. Try to wean off of it in the future if you can....

^ I'm sorry you had such an adverse reaction to it. Don't let that put you off though! Everyone reacts to medication differently. I take Zoloft and next week I'm actually going to up the dose because what I'm on right now isn't very effective. I take it for anxiety too. Like I said, it differs from person to person. My best advice is to give it a shot. If it helps that's great! Panic attacks are horrible. If it doesn't work for you or you get unwanted side effects you can go off of it or switch to another SSRI. Keep in mind that for the first 2-3 weeks of taking the medication you'll experience the side effects at their strongest. Eventually they'll decrease or go away completely.
