Erm, sugar is not going to cause worms. FYI.

Do you and your mom understand that worms are only found in things like meat and and produce? You will not find it in sugar.

Hi Rebecca. I don't see why the tone of a couple previous responses was so rude. That's a perfectly valid question.
I've never had that problem myself, but my cousin did once. She went to the doctor and got it taken care of. It wasn't a big deal. As long as you get rid of them before too long you shouldn't have any really serious problems as a result. Just make sure not to let it go untreated.
But yeah, sugar doesn't cause worms. It was probably undercooked meat or infested fruits or veggies.

Could you be more specific? If you mean 'pin worms' (worms in your anus) then its probably from not having clean hands and nails before putting them in your mouth. If not pin worms, then i agree with samy.. uncooked meat?

If you go to the doctor they will probably give you an antibiotic to make sure you don't get sick from the worms and they'll give you an antiparasitic with it. No worries it can happen to anyone really! It happened to my friend from under cooked meat. The sugar thing...is false to my knowlege...

breads and grains can contain worms. for example, if you purchase a sack of flour or cornmeal and if it sits in your cupboard long enough there are often eggs in there that will hatch. The eggs come from the plant or mill in which the flour was packaged. However, these worms do not live in people's digestive track and if consumed would be killed by the acid in your stomach.
