100/80 is low (120/80 is norm), but it is high enough that it typically isnt a medical concern. 85/65 however is very low and definitely has potential to be dangerous. are you on any medication that has a side effect of lowering blood pressure? the scary thing about having dangerously low blood pressure is some of the different ways it can effect your body. dizziness, vertigo feelings, and jello-y legs, fainting, low blood/oxygen levels--- which if severe enough you could need a blood transfusion... not fun. if your blood pressure is that low then your heart isnt beating as strong as it should... also scary.
please listen to your doctors. if they are concerned it is worth following through with what they recommend. when it comes down to something that could possibly be life-threatening... it's no joke and it's worth it to be safe... because YOU are worth it!

The worry there isn't the numbers. If it was, there is medication to increase it. It is not normal for blood pressure to drop so suddenly.

That being said, if it took a couple of months to drop to 85/65 you would be fine. It's not normal for it to drop in 2 days.

I would go to the hospital and let them find out why the drastic change, especially if it's not normal for you. And please let us know how you're doing.

Thanks for your replies...it's been afew days now and whilst the crisis team are still seeing me daily and I am supposed to have a drink with them each visit they have stopped monitoring my blood pressure...they just said it was 'low' but not critical so still ok??!!!...they took bloods also and my white blood cell has dropped so now they are talking about more tests for that. I am struggling so much, both physically and mentally with my ED, I am so on the edge of just loosing it and giving up. neva felt so alone with it 2bh.
Speckly - I've had to have 2 blood transfusions in the past year because of becoming anemic and you're right they are definitely no fun....
Guess my body is just not coping with what I am making it go through..the crisis team have said they can't do anything to help or to make me drink/eat...that I am in control of it...but that is the 1 thing I DEFINITELY don't feel I have...CONTROL...it's wot I craved and thought I had...until now :-(

Sometimes the only way to gain control is to surrender control. And if you feel that you have no control, then moving towards their desires of others in order to prolong self-preservation will have no shift in that aspect.
