Up until the last few nights I thought I had finally cracked the insomnia and early morning waking, but now I fear they are back to haunt me after a brief holiday harassing someone else.

Any tips on gaining a full nights sleep?

Thanks

Hello, well I think the biggest thing is to not worry about it. When you worry about sleeping or not sleeping, that obviously causes stress in the body which is counterproductive to getting to sleep. So when I go to bed at night, I take the attitude of "Ok, I'm just going to lie here and have a real nice long happy relaxing rest, and if I happen to fall asleep, ok and if not, ok too but either way I'm going to enjoy and be happy about this nice relaxing resting time". I also suggest safe and best therapy is using Theramood products.

Hello from a newbie!
Hi out there. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I?ve been searching the web for info about insomnia and found this board. I?ve never thought about joining a board before, but after reading through some posts, I?m happy I did. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support you offer here.

I suffer from insomnia aswell.
Soon I will be in 10th grade, and insomnia is a big problem.
But I dont know how big deal it is, as I suffer from other psychic problems..
I don't know how to say it, as my enslish is not that good..
But I see and hear things others cannot.. and I have 14 different phobias.
And I'm scared all the time.

I have trouble getting to sleep, though it isn't insomnia. I just don't get tired until after 7 (was 6 until the hour jump last week).

Used to be worse though. Used to stay up all night, go to class and when I got back to my dorm (around 11 or so) I would then get some sleep. Maybe four hours.

Kind of think I enjoy being deprived of sleep at times. When I get absolutely no sleep, it kind of reminds me of being high, though I felt worse. Eh, there's also something about how the brain is super creative at night, and I have found that some of my best writing has been done at 5 or so.

I fell asleep at 9.30 and woke up at 2 am and now i cant get back to sleep i tried and tried for over 2 hours, but i got up as i have an awful headache. My headaches happen every day a few times a day through not eating very much, does anyone get headaches too out there? I even went and left my painkillers at my Son s house (25 miles away!!) Starting to get really forgetful too:(

If you wanted a herbal version for helping you to get to sleep Calms is very good, it just relaxes you into a sleep.;)

I would say i have a massive problem with insomnia....i can stay awake for 48 hours at a time sometimes when it gets drastic. But i have gotten a few ebooks for some people with problems, it explains the best ways to live healthy and in turn get your body to fall to sleep.

I mean it suggests somethings i am not willing to give up, i mean i smoke and i bloody love it. Also coffee is gods gift to man.....that and life maybe ranks above it. But i mean i have learnt to live with it. i just keep telling my friends that if i get kidnapped and tourtured by the south/north koreans they would have trouble getting information from me (they use sleep deprivation as their means of tourture)

But if you want the ebook9very good read) just add me over MSN and ill send it over....or tell ya where to download it from a utorrent. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

But yeah it can really mess with your life, i mean after the 24 hour mark, Talking becomes something that should not be attempted....the words you try to get out are not the words that come out.....paranoid feelings come around.....everything you think about has a very very negative spin on things.

Tell me if ya agree with these things or not lol it might just be me....but its good to talk to others with insomnia and what not.

yeah this happens to me every night. im now dependent on benadryl. i dont really like it because of the way it makes me feel but, this is what keeps me from staying up. but i wouldn't recommend doing this...

I suffered for years before getting proper medication. But now I don't know if I could fall asleep without taking anything. I hope I could go on eating pills for the rest of my life but I know I'll eventually have to try to be without them.

i wake up around 8 in the morning and stay up untill 3 most nights, but I wouldnt say I have insomnia. dont you just feel as though you should be experiencing more than a 'standard' days worth of consciousness?
