How to get the gap? It's a fad on a forum I go on and I love looking at the pictures.

I've never had the gap, despite being as thin as some of these girls at times.

What exercises can I do to get it?

I don't think there are any exercises you can do to lose weight in a specific area.
You just have to lose weight overall.

The gap between her collarbones??

Between her legs, lol.

I hope you don't need a specific body type. It's so nice...

Oh okay. I don't know, I thought everyone had the gap there? You'd have to tone all sides of your thighs (inner and outer) I'm guessing. And obviously lose weight on top of that....Her legs look quite muscular though, its hard to tell in her pants

It looks like she has a gap but it's because she's pushing her hips/butt backwards. I bet they touch when she stands stick straight.
I have a lot of thin friends and only one has an actual gap... she is exceedingly bony though.

and in mag. pics they always airbrush.

Really?? I have always noticed people with legs gaps. I've never really thought that there was any other way to be?

This girl doesn't have it. Follow her legs to the hip, you'll be surprised. And yeah, I'm overweight (as you can see from my stats). I don't exercise my legs, but I should do it more often.

SE, it was the best picture I could find. I've seen better.

Hmmm, yeah I see what you mean. I just think of it as a gap if 'her legs don't touch'. But most women's figures tend to store weight on the inner thingh first.
And for what it's worth, I don't think you're overweight :)

Haha thanks. I know when I'm normal weight I still feel fat, but I'm definitely overweight. My body fat percentage is 45% because of the foods I choose to eat (when I do :/ ) and because of the lack of exercise (muay thai will hopefully change that!), and my body mass index is...more than 29. I haven't done the maths since I was 80kg.

I feel like once I get lower than a certain weight, my body starts to distort and regardless of my size, I feel huge. Like, at 57kg I had thisthing with resting my arm in my waist. Now that I'm bigger, I can't do that. I have to hold it a little more. I knew I was thin because my legs were straighter than they are now, and my collar stuck out. But I got to 75kg and I felt bigger rather than just looked bigger.

I don't know how to fix it. I still haven't lost any weight and I'm restricting all the time. I lost 5kg a week last time I restricted like this :/

Don't worry, my BFP is pretty high too. Exercise is definately a good way to go about it because you're getting lean muscle which will help you burn fat. And it also releases endophins which are good for you mentally.

I really understand what you're getting at with the size thing. I'm freaking out because I'm 61 kg now. It's like, above 60. I never thought that was possible, from having been 52 kg two to three years ago. You hit puberty and your body changes everything :(

You likely haven't lost any weight because you've gone straight into restriction. I try and work my way down over a period of time. E.g. what I'm doing now is this:

Basically I need 1750 cals a day to maintain weight (based of BMR), or 12250 in a week. To lose 1 pound a week, I minus 500 cals off that. So I have 1250 cals to play with (a day), without factoring in exercise. I've only decreased by 500 cals but over two weeks I could lose a kilo based off food changes alone, and not very drastic ones. So after a fortnight of -500 cals, I'll take off even more (I haven't decided what yet). Basically I'm making myself do things step by step again so I don't fail my goals this time, and am actually able to maintain a low weight for (hopefully) a very long time.

You can do something similar with the right calculators. Theres a thread somewhere, I think you can search for it :)

The forum is 4chan /b/. You really don't want to go there. It's a world of trolls and gore.

That place is literally the worst. I can't think of anything more terrible. I'm not grossed out by it so much as I cannot even undestand why someone would start a website like that and people do the things they do. Yeah, I know this has probably been said before, but argh!

Only the worst kind of people can handle 4chan. I'm an /x/phile but /b/ can be fun. Plus it makes me feel vaguely normal.

No, the picture did not come from /b/. It came from Google images.

Ack, I've been looking at girls with it lately. Girls without look so...strange.

I saw a girl so thin the other day that the bones in her knees stuck out. She was so thin that I thought her profile was refracting in my glasses, and she had it. My BF was disgusted but I was intrigued. I feel so fat since that day :\

Exercise! Walking/Running will give you great legs for sure, no questions asked. Do some cardio, walking/running, 3 times a week or more if you'd like. You'll see results. Throw some yoga in there too for a little extra scuplt. I have "the gap" & I know for a fact it's from running/walking.

That photo is heavily photoshopped, really. You can get the gap with a really easy excerise.

1. put a cushion/rolled up towel on a hard wooden floor.
2. Lie down on your back.
3. Place cushion/rolled up towel under the small of yoye back, and the end spinal bone.
4.Raise your legs up, like as if you're sitting on a chair, (kinda like a Z shape, but your legs make a 'l' 0r '¬' shape rahter than a '/')
5. Thighening your stomach, and breathing in, SLOWLY push your legs straight, as if you're standing. Keep your feet hovering above the ground.
6. When pulling them back in, breath out but keep your stomach tensed.
7. Repeat like 25+ times.

It feels piss easy at first but becomes extremely painful if you do it too quickly. If it gets too sore, stop, you can strain your muscles

But it's BRILLIANT for toning your thighs and upper and lower tummy.
Do it every day about 3 times a day and you'll def see an improvement!
