I keep falling down.

This last time was the weirdest. I hadn't run more than a few steps when my feet felt like they went numb, then my calves, then my legs gave out and off I slid. I looked like I was diving into home base (according to bystanders).

I restrict to 1000 cal's or less a day and run or hike an hour or more a day. I mean, I'm seeing a therapist, and I'd like to get better, so I try to do better, but I've been seeing her for all of two weeks. So yeah.

Just wondering if anyone else had this happen or knows what the heck it's about. The moment I hit the floor, all the feeling came back and I got up just fine.

is is that you are passing out? like blacking out, or are your legs just weak?

Just my legs. I didn't black out at all. It's like my legs fell asleep while I was using them.

This kind of happens to me too sometimes, it's not even related to how much I eat as much as to when was the last time I ate if that makes sense. I don't fall but I kind of stumble, it's very strange because I've no sensation of lightheadedness or being about to lose my balance or anything, it's like I just momentarily lose control of my legs. I think it's just from tiredness though, like I said it seems to be related to when I last ate, it usually happens on long walks. Also I'm a clumsy bitch at the best of times, but this definitely feels different from my usual falling over.

Oh, Iliketurtles (and I do like turtles), I was talking to some of my friends who do marathons and tri's, and they told me it's a "muscle-glycogen bonk." I read more about it here (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.).

Everyone likes turtles! Hmm, bonking eh? Well, nice to know I have something in common with marathon runners. Good to have a name for it as well, thank you :)

I had this. Nerve damage, or more specifically, severe bilateral peroneal nueropathy. Degenerative and happens due to weight loss. If lifestyle continues, permanent damage is possible.

Thanks, LittleFoot, I'll look that up when I get to my computer.
