hey. so my dog died last night. she was only 8 at the oldest.

i spent half my life begging for a dog, and the other half having her as my sister.

i came home from work yesterday and she just barked once when i walked up the steps. i walked in the door and she was laying all weird and she could hardly breathe and i just hugged her and told her she'd be okay and then she looked at me and died.

i lied to my dog.

:(

uhg. i feel like i lost a sister.

rip baby. <3

You didn't lie; she is ok now. It's not the ok you were thinking of but she's not hurting at all.

Losing a dog is like losing any other family member; just know that we're here for support and so are your family and friends.

aw, thank you :) she really is.. she has a purple tongue and everything.

yeah, you're right :) she had a pretty tough life. she was abused really badly when she was a puppy and neglected by her second owner so she was always terrified of being alone and she'd run and hide whenever somebody yelled or it even seemed like someone was angry.. we'd take her wherever we could with us because she would always freak out whenever me or my parents were gone for too long. i mean, it hurts me, but i'm glad she didn't have to die alone y'know? she's a pitbull and that was the one thing that scared her.

thanks so much.. :) it means a lot. it's just.. uhg. she was so healthy in the morning, and before i left for work, and i come back and all of a sudden she's dead.
