Oh, coffee, how I love thee!!

Laxative, appetite suppressant, energy boost... coffee is how I know God loves me!

Now I probably am a "fattie" when it comes to how I like my coffee. I'll make just regular black coffee at home, but a lunch-time latte really makes me happy: sugar-free vanilla latte with soy milk is my favorite. I'll gladly take those 200 calories. But if I'm feeling piggish, I'll do skim milk (~130 calories for a grande).

Especially now that the weather is cooling down... so perfect!

And in an attempt to make this thread applicable and interesting to others, how do you like your coffee? Black? Dark, light, medium?? Morning, afternoon, night?? (Any other lunch-time latte lovers??) Sugar, artificial sweetener??

I'm so on my coffee high now if you can't tell!!!

EDIT: Ok, I REALLY sound like a fattie in this post. But the latte is the only thing I've had so far today and will probably be the only thing I consume aside from some diet coke tonight during my night class and maybe some cereal when I get home but only if I absolutely have to have it.

yeah, I have tea or black coffee at home. Everyone in my family is addicted to starbucks, and I have a tall skinny caramel latte there (90)...however...at school...if I skip breakfast and I don't have lunch then I'll have a small drink from our school cafeteria (which brews all the special kinds of coffee from a local coffee shop). Its tons of calories, but it helps my friends not worry about me so much....and I mainly have it on days where I'm not going to have dinner either (mondays and wednesdays really...those are my 'no dinner, skip lunch, barely eat breakfast' days). yay busyness!

Do any of you guys feel less guilty if its calories from coffee or something the like, apposed to something else?

hmm..coffee with just a bit of low fat milk and 0kcal sweetner ( i love sweet stuff so i put sweetner to everything and anything i want instead of sugar )
Usually in the morning and at lunch time...at evening i enjoy a coup of tea more, to calm me down n get to bed
How does coffee work as laxitives?

haha i LOVE chai lattes! i usually have on every monring, except now that i'm on the abc, i can't really :[ anyways, it depends on the size, but usually a small is 150 cals, a medium is 200, and a large is 250. it really depends on the size of the drink though.. but basically they're just milk calories, since chai tea has like 5 and the rest of it is just steamed milk :]

hope that helps! xx

^^^It depends if it's made from a syrup or powder though. I know Gloria Jeans (I think its the Aussie equivalent of Starbucks for you) uses a syrup, which is more caloric and tastes pretty bad to boot

Getting it with soy milk too is a lot lighter, I should have mentioned that.

I thought I was the only one on earth who dislikes coffee. Yuck. No thanks! I'll take water.

I like coffee a lot. A good friend of mine works at a coffee shop (organic! and seriously better than starbucks) and she brings my brother and I bags of free coffee... various brews. Mostly I drink my coffee black, sometimes with one or two packets of splenda, or a little bit of almond milk (like 5cal worth) for a treat... when I'm out and about and have to order something, I get iced americano, don't care what the temperature outside is like. That I prefer without sweetener, more often than not.

i love coffee :)

i have 1 'normal' coffee in the morning, with skimmed milk and 2 sweetner- they have like 1 calorie per tablet.

and then decaf for the rest of the day- unless i need some energy.

and i measure a 250 ml milk allowence (under 100cals) for the day- so i get like 4 coffees (Y)

which is good,
but im probably gonna try black coffee, cos then i can drink more- cos it has no calories??? is that right??

and if i dont like it, then ill probs get back on it with green tea ;)

and thats my life story :P

i've been making mine with splenda (it's a no calorie sweetener) and coffeemate (like 10 cals for a whole cup!) and it's really lovely tasting and so low-cal, i recommended it! :]
