My doctor just prescribed me that. I hear it has a plethora of side effects and is almost impossible to discontinue taking it.
Let's just hope it does help.
Oh and plus, during the first 2-3 weeks it might make me even more suicidal. What about that?! Oh my...

Paxil was amazing for me. I loved it. I didn't want to go to bed because I was looking forward to getting up. Eventually though...unfortunately, I got so used to it that it just made me not care. I wasn't down I wasn't up, I just WAS. Hard to make that make sense. It basically was numbing. So I wasn't enjoying the good things either.
And yes it is a HARD one to get off of. In fact, I'm off it now, but it's been replaced by a long list of others and I don't think I'll ever be drug free now. But life is way easier to deal with now. Not numb anymore.
By the way, they ALL have a massive list of side effects. You will not avoid that.
Good luck. Hope it works for you. Again, I loved it for the first year or so...

In my experience it was hell. I became completely irrational, suicidal and impulsive and the withdrawal landed me in hospital. However when I was in hospital I met a girl who said it helped enormously and changed her life for the better. So I guess it's just different for everyone.. Make sure if it does make you more suicidal that you let someone know and try to keep in mind that maybe you just need your meds changing. Good luck!
