So, what I'm asking is for everyone to list their favorite food(s) that they used to eat and/or they still eat. Feel free to put down the calorie info too

I'll go first.

Favorite food I used to eat: PB&J sandwich--could be anywhere from 410-450 calories
And I would eat this with milk (depended on what kind was around), but it would make the whole meal come to 500-600 calories....but if I had more milk, it would be higher :O

Favorite food I still eat: PB&J sandwich (I just LOVE them)--I just came up with a lower calorie version though which is 230 calories And I discovered this almond milk (35 cals per cup). I believe it is Silk purealmond. So, the meal would come to 265...and plus I could have more and not worry too much about having too many calories

The reason why I'm asking this question is so I can create some recipes.

Egg white omelets!! Egg WHITES are about 17 cals each. I use 2 or 3 for each omelet. Maybe add cheese if I'm feeling brave. Or SALSA!! Yummm.
I love to eat all sorts of fruits or veggies.

Turkey Bacon/Egg Cups

Turkey bacon (cook halfway in microwave) (35 cals)
Cut in half, criss-cross in a (greased/sprayed) muffin pan.
Table spoon of sala (optional if you don't like) (10 cals)
Egg white on top with salt/pepper to taste. (17 cals)
Top with a bit of cheese for taste. (or stir it in the eggs)
Bake for 25-30 mins.
Eat and enjoy!

I used to eat fizzy strawberry laces until my teeth hurt, but at 460 calories a pack and no self control to only eat some, I've not had them in a very long time. :(

I do however, LOVE jelly! And the fact that you can get 3 calorie jelly keeps me happy. :)

My fave would have to be Macaroni and Cheese.

I got this book that's called Hungry Girl 200 under 200 (or is it Hungry Girl 123) and it's got a ton of low cal recipes. They have one where you get cauliflower and cheese sauce that's frozen and add it to the pasta so you get half pasta and half cauliflower in cheese sauce. It's really good and satisfies my cravings for mac and cheese!

Oh dont get me started!
A footlong white bread baguette, smothered with butter and loaded with cheese, and McCoys cheddar and onion crisps.
God knows how many calories, it's a heart attack waiting to happen!

Now my favourite meal is a box of BBQ chicken bites which comes it at 100 cals per 100g :D

Favourite food I used to eat: pasta with grated cheese and ketchup. Mmmm. Haven't had that in about 2 years.

Favourite food I still eat: weight watchers toast with marmite. I try not to have it too often cos it sometimes triggers a binge, but it's still a relatively safe food if I'm craving.

My favorite foods definitely included pb&j sandwiches and mac n' cheese. I have not had macaroni and cheese in SO long. Though recently I found a healthier recipe (I need to find it again) and so I might have that. Sometimes I'll still have pb&j at track meets.

Foods I seriously love now: 100 calorie delights parfaits (I freeze them and eat them like ice cream), egg white omelet with veggies, turkey sausage.

and fancy bread, like soda bread and other sugary things. I've got less control with these haha they find their way into my diet.

No way out.

Food I still eat - JELLLLYYYY SWEEETS! Could not give that up.. EVER! My thighs actually enlarged at one point due to the amounts I was having.. Everyday!
I've calmed down a little.

Haven't had bread for months! Was planning on having it today, for the sake of my friend, she's showing symptoms of ortherexia! She's lost hell-ofa-lotta weight, and everyone's worried. I'm trying to help her - Freaky thing is, I feel better, because, I feel like if I can't help myself, I can atleast help her. I told her of my Anorexic period, only that, just so I can help her, she said I've helped her alot! I really want her to get better! Off topic, woops, sorry!

I used to love chicken korma with rice and poppadoms. Or chicken pasta with loads of cheese, my mum used to put mozzarella on it and melt it until it was all stringy .. NOM!!
Can't remember the last time i ate either of these foods:( .. I do sometimes have curry and pasta but i weightwatchers meals their only like 300cals but their curry is not very nice its really watery and they are just not the same lol.

My favourite food now is fat free yoghurts. Mmm, i like all the fruit flavours and they are the only yoghurts/dairy that i like. Only 95-101calories per a pot and you get quite alot in a pot, they do fill me up i usually have one for breakfast with a piece of fruit:D xx

Actually, some of the "bad" food you mentioned isn't all that bad. Chocolate (in moderation and preferably dark) is actually good for you becuase it releases endorphins (happy brain cells) and has antioxidants. Bread is good if it is whole grain. Baked beans---fiber and protein! Cereal--once again, if it isn't the sugary stuff (like froot loops lol). Peanut Butter-healthy fats are good for you and pb has some protein in it. PBJ (one of my favs) sandwiches are good for you if it is made right (whole grain bread, low or sugar free jam/jelly/preserves, and of course pb).
Not sure what quorn sausage is...but I know in general sausage isn't the best meat for you, but so what.
cheese--if it is non fat or low fat isn't bad cuz it has calcium
spaghetti--if it is whole grain, it is actually a good meal.
But basically, everything in moderation :) Even chips!

I'm not much of a calorie lister, and usually it all varies anyways:
Chocolate chip pancakes
Egg sandwich on white bread with mayo and ketchup
French toast
Oatmeal (flavored packets)
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Ramen noodles
Doughnuts
Bananas, strawberries, blue/black berries, peaches
Turkey avocado sandwiches
Ice cream

Yeah, I'm a junk food junkie but I'll end the list there :P That's my top 10 (not including the fruit as seperate foods)

Favourite foods I used to eat: God there were so much!!! pepperoni pizza, baked potato with cheddar cheese, ice cream, milk chocolate, hot chocolate, sweet milky porridge, crisps, fizzy strawberry laces, rice crispies... I ate these and I was still skinny, i had a super fast metabolism and was very active

then i developed anorexia, which I only ate: low calorie, low carb, Low GI, low fat foods
which meant I was extremely picky about foods but they were healthy, i just wasn't eating enough...

and anorexia lead to me snapping and developing binge eating disorder; which was the only time I have ever been overweight... i ate EVERYTHING; endless bowls of cereal with milk, packets of crisps, loaves of bread with tubs of butter and peanut butter, biscuits, cakes, muffins, pasta, cheese, ice cream, chocolate..... Literally non-stop bingeing for about a year and i gained a LOT of weight, about 4 stone! :O

Now, I'm trying to transition into a healthy mindset and lose weight without resorting back to ana. I'm trying to be athletic by running/walking in the morning for 30 minutes, although I am very unfit so sweat buckets BUCKETS!
I am trying not to restrict and allow myself small amounts of unhealthy foods - i might go for ice cream tonight.
Of course I still binge but I try to carry on with my healthy plan.
I now eat: cottage cheese, greek yoghurt, unlimited fruit (except bananas), wholemeal bread and chapatti, basmati rice, plain oatmeal, almond milk, cow's milk ( in small amounts, I don't like the idea of the hormones in it) and whatever is cooked as dinner.

Hope i can make it through this and get a killer body without ruining my life again with bingeing or anorexia. wish me luck xxxxxxx

Quorn is a meat substitute...I think it's made from a fungus! True, I suppose I never eat very unhealthy foods but that's just because we don't keep them in the house. And I wouldn't have a way to get to a shop if I needed to binge so I have to work with what I've got. The cereal is usually plain old cornflakes lol LOADED with sugar.

That said, I still have very set ideas of whats 'good' and 'bad' with food. All of those fit into the bad category. Reading back over that list makes my binges seem weirdly healthy, they aren't!

Felafel wrap (felafels in a wrap with lettuce, tomato and hummus)! I will never pass up a felafel wrap. 2 felafels (100) + light Mission wrap (190) or light Mountain Bread wrap (75) + 20g hummus (60) + lettuce/tomato (~50) = 285-400 calories. I don't really care about the calories, because it's a whole meal and tastes amazing!

I just LOVE peanut butter, the nice organic kind with peanut pieces in it.
best on a piece of whole wheat rusk (the dutch thing)
I'm absolutely addicted to cheese, best the 'belegen' dutch cheese.
I love all fruits and veggies, apart from mango, spinach and mushrooms.
also a lot of really unhealthy sugary foods. I love sweets and iced doughnuts
and chocolate chip cookies and cake and sugarsugarsugar :P

nowadays I mostly eat healthy filling fibery foods,
good non-sugary cereals, fruits, veggies, peanut butter
yogurt, whole wheat rusk, vegetable broth etc.

and I binge on cheese, frikandelrolls (another dutch thing I suppose)
and everything sweet and sugary.

Fruit, but specifically berries, mangos, papaya, and pineapple
Greek yogurt
Popcorn, but only if I trust myself because my mother pops it herself with oil and the thought can be triggering.

it WAS mac and cheese, I found a way to make a 30 calorie mac and cheese by using the cheese powder packet, some shirataki noodles, and SF ketchup. Also can make low mein and itallian pasta dishes with them for under 100 calories. BUT I found a liking for shrimp tom yup soup and curried vegetables recently. I LOVED mashed potatoes but found out that mashed cauliflower tastes just as good and is under 50 calories.

Before: Onion buns...(my favourite), Ben and Jerry's Milk & Cookies, Snickers, cheesecake, bacon, and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Now: Carrots w/ light ranch dip, Kashi TLC (in the red box), fat-free chocolate pudding (60 cal a cup, emergency chocolate fix), mandarins, spinach, mushrooms, mango, plain yogurt, and oatmeal with cinnamon and a bit of sugar.

I love quiche with coleslaw (the fruity kind with onion and apple and sultanas, not too rich)
And cheeses like Camembert and Brie with cranberry sauce on pan inis, or goats cheese and caramelised onion wraps.
I still eat these things sometimes.
When I'm low I still might have scrambled egg and spinach or hummus with celery as a 'treat'
It's sweets I struggle to resist most though :p I love all food!<3

My favourite unhealthy meal (which I haven't eaten in about 4 years) is two sausages, mashed potatoes and apple sauce.

My favourite healthy meal would have to be trout with kidney beans and tomato sauce and a lot of spice.
It sounds a little strange but is extremely satisfying and filling.

It is funny, but i can get addicted and in love with almost every food. Sigh. My new favourite food right now is porridge made like this.

500ml skimmed milk
100gr oats
tablespoon cocao powder
sweetener.

Has about 500-550 kcal. I love it so much it is the only thing i have been eating for a month. I just eat it 4-6 times per day sigh.
