does any1 experience night sweat becaue of their ED

I am not sure what I night sweat is but I have woke up many times in the night hot and bothered & unable to get back to sleep or even comfortable, although I did not sweat, I don't really sweat though anyway.

Is that a Night Sweat?

I suffer with terrible night sweats when I eat. I spoke to my doctor about it and it all makes sense. when my ana is bad Im constantly cold but if I have a day where I eat pver a certain amount of calories my internal body temperature fires up to digest the food which then causes sweat. Hope that helps :-)

I get really aweful night sweats when I have nightmares: I wak up completely soaked and boiling, but as soon as I take off my covers I`m freezing, so I have to change my pyjamas and my sheets... sometimes several times a night. And I get nightmares fairly often so...

Same. Sometimes, they're so bad, I end up kicking and mumbling throughout the night from the discomfort.

I used to get night sweats constantly to the point where I had to nearly sleep in the shower. But now I have a good air conditioner that works. Also, my sweats have nearly vanished since I started my new x-diet. I go to bed hungry and I don't seem to sweat.

Although, now I seem to be getting "day-sweats" where I will just start sweating profusely at my desk at work and I swear it feels like 90 degrees in the office. Very strange.

Me too, from PTSD.

Does anybody know of any remedies to this? I experience the same hot-then-cold symptoms described by a couple of you. Jacklinger suggested going to bed hungry...does that really help?

Yes it seems to help. I continue to not have night sweats as long as I eat nothing or very little a few hours before bed.

If I let my blood sugar spike in the evening my body tries to burn off the excess sugar as heat and I think that's what causes the sweats. But if I go to bed hungry, or just eat something that's not carbs, I don't seem to get sweats.
