Anyone had to have their appendix out?

I was just wondering if there is a connection between bulimia and having your appendix out? Being bulimic, I always feel weird pains in my abdomen at anytime but lately I've been having more pains on my right side. Just wondering if purging somehow relates to the appendix? Anyone have any experiences they'd like to share?

I'm not sure,I have a pain in my right side,that feels a bit like a stitch?I'm not sure what it could be so I'm interested to see if anyone has an explanation.It's not constant for me,it comes and go's again.Just had a urine sample check at the docs as I thought it might be a urine infection-nope apparently not.Take care,if you find out please let me know!

I had my appendix out about a month ago. Have you had yours out? or got it checked out? Im not sure if its related to anor ED i have had anorexia in the past and now have bulimia, if you feel sick you should definetaly get it checked out because it gets quite painful!

I had to have emergency surgery to remove my appendix when I was 13. It burst, and there was a throbbing, nauseating pain in my bellybutton for about a week. All of a sudden, I went into shock and was in the hospital for a week. :( It SUCKED. I'm not sure if bulimia would cause you to burst your appendix, because bulimia is gastrointestinal, and your appendix is not a part of your digestive system. Don't take my word for it, though, see a doctor!!! Don't play games with your health, because as I learned, a burst appendix can be life threatening (and that was WAY before I developed an ED.)
