I read about some of you exercising for a long time on such little calories and wanted to know some tips on how to keep your mind off the pain and light headedness while exercising.

I usually jog on the treadmill while watching TV but I become too tired to concentrate and all I can think about is pushing myself but I dont want to think about jogging I want to do it subconsciously and think about something else so I can just do it and not have to think about how hard it is.

if you go jogging outside, the different scenery helps, treadmills are so monotomous. Also rather than watchin tv, get some motivating, feel good music on your ipod and take it with you. Also jogging outside means you go up and down hills to, so your working your bum and thighs up hill and pushing yourself, and it gives you a bit of a rest jogging downhill. If you also run in intervals, and switch the pace up and down (sometimes by walking and sprinting!) its actual more effective, and I find after walking for a bit, I can jog longer again.

I also make sure, I take water with me, and 10/15 minutes before I exercise I take 2 pro plus (caffeine tablets) so like 10mins into my jog I get the engery spurt I need to keep going :)

I also think about who I want to look like, where I want my weight to be, etc so your not thinking about your legs aching or whatever. I just got back from a 9 mile run so I know all this works for me :), and I will go on a 11 mile bike ride later. Hope some of this helps you, good luck xx

o, if you have to use the treadmill at home, or prefer it. . .then put a mirror infront of it, training in the mirror is soooooooo much more effective. I get the treadmill right infront of the mirror at the gym, and damn, it keeps me going!! Look at your flabby parts you don't like, the bones you do like, and picture yourself how you want to look. Again, scrap the TV though and go for music xx

I listen to my IPOD, that helps a lot. I concentrate on the songs instead of the jogging and the faster songs keep me moving.

Also, stay hydrated. You will be more likely to get dizzy, feel weak, get headaches, etc if you are not hydrated.

If needed I space out my work outs. Instead of doing one huge work out, I do 4-5 smaller work outs through out the day. On days I can't jog 5 miles straight, I jog one mile spaced out five times during the day.

Eat a complex carb snack about 1/2 hour prior to work out. It will give you an extra boost of energy to get you through your work out. Don't forget to follow your work outs with a high quality lean protein snack.
